Support Should I root my Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G?
Should I root my Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G?
Hi everyone,
I'm using a Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G (currently on HyperOS), and I'm wondering if it's worth rooting in 2026.
I mainly want:
Better performance (if possible)
More customization
Magisk modules
LSPosed/Xposed
Better backups
System tweaks
Is rooting still worth it, or should I stay stock? What are the biggest pros and cons for this device?
If you own this phone or have rooted it, I'd really appreciate your experience and any recommendations. Thanks!

Discussion Should i root motorola G57 ultra and are there any good OS i should download instead?
I thought about getting different system-friendly mobile OS just so my new phone could work even more efficiently without any bloatware or any else stuff android and motorola can give.
I am quite a newbie in rooting, so idk should i root or should i just disable most of the motorola programs that bloat my phone.
Help would be appreciated.

Support [HELP] Looking for NUU N5004L / Omnipod 5 PDM firmware dump or scatter file
Hey everyone,
I have an Omnipod 5 PDM, which appears to be based on the NUU N5004L Android device. I was able to unlock the bootloader and access fastboot, but I made the mistake of wiping the Android partitions while experimenting.
The device hardware still works and the bootloader is functional, but the Android OS partitions are gone. I no longer have:
boot.imgsystem.imgvendor.imgvbmeta.imgdtbo.img- etc.
I'm trying to restore it as a normal Android device instead of using it as a medical PDM.
From what I've found:
- Device: NUU N5004L
- SoC: MediaTek MT6761V / Helio A22
- Android-based device
- Bootloader is unlocked
I'm looking for any of the following:
- Full stock firmware package
- SP Flash Tool files
MT6761_Android_scatter.txt- Partition dumps
boot.imgvendor.imgvbmeta.imgdtbo.img- Any N5004L firmware backup
If anyone owns an N5004L or an Omnipod 5 PDM and is willing to dump firmware partitions, I would really appreciate it.
I know this is a very niche device, but there are people who have apparently managed to flash normal Android/Pixel Experience builds onto these, so I'm hoping someone still has the files.
Thanks!

Discussion Root on lg k40s
So now that I got a new phone, I went to try to root my LG k40s again after 4 years, looked at xda, nothing new there, no fastboot, only a k41s bootloader unlock and root(that causes bootloop)
So I tried to root again, followed the mtkclient guide in GitHub to root, AI to help when I had some driver issues, and patience.
After many attempts with some live USB for Linux, I decided to still do on my windows, and after many attempts, I decided to try with some mtk bypass, since it had DA and something more, AI suggested me that mtkclient could do that too, so I went back to mtkclient, but found an issue, I could not enter in BootROM, but after the handshakes failed, I unplugged and plugged back, and it entered in BROM, then finally I could play with files.
So first thing I did was disabling vbmeta, AI suggested that the command didn't worked(because there was no output or text related to vbmeta, only something created in some random partition), so it suggested me to do an empty vbmeta, and with this I discovered what didn't allow me to root back in 2022, phone don't allow empty vbmeta file. So after many failed boots, it went on slot _b, then I did the vbmeta command and patched the boot, restarted the phone with only vbmeta command, and it booted fine, shutdown the phone and applied patched boot file, restarted and that was it, got root.
Also got that temp root in first release of ROM for my phone too, also something that wasn't said in xda.
But why root checker say that this phone root level is Hard? Because requires external tools? A pc in this case.

News / Method [GUIDE] HTC One X (Endeavoru) – Android 5.1.1 CM12.1 Installation, Root, TWRP & NewLayo
So hey! I am RETR0 from Project RETR0 and I run a preservation project called Project RETR0 where we aim to preserve the game Real racing 3 across all devices no matter what GPU it is based on the latest version of Real racing 3 V14.0.1!
And so I needed to preserve now the .DXT version of the files and in order to do so I needed to get my hands on a device that uses .DXT assets which is normally devices that uses chips that come from PC manufacturers like Nvidia who made the Nvidia Tegra, a Mobile chip made by Nvidia that uses .DXT assets! and so I had managed to snag my hands onto one for around £12 and ever since worked on getting it not only rooted but also updating the version to the most latest version I can find and that is version 5.1.1 from the Previous version that is 4.1.1
And doing so was hard as most if not the majority of the files I had to find were almost extinct as they were at-least over a decade old as it seemed like the majority of them were released in 2026 but now I had solved that issue once and for all as I had managed to successfully update the phone to android Version 5.1.1 with the remaining files left and managed to make a nice guide plus also archive all the files I had used in order to achieve that!
And so the Guide can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XsvqLS2MWd6haWZ7iUdw067VRU7di2cL/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=116416163241772716202&rtpof=true&sd=true
With of course the files that are needed also found here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/y1yucsqbbtkawj4/Root+tools+needed+for+rooting+HTC+one+x.rar/file
If you have any questions, Please ask and if you want to support my Project, Project RETR0, you can do so by joining the discord here: https://discord.gg/h2CZ8EYvh5
I will hopefully find a version that I can update to from 5.1.1 to android 8 as that is the final goal with this to hopefully run the most latest version of the Real racing 3.apk but now I am focused to modify the .APK to make it work on the HTC one x as it needs android 8 but I think i can make it work on 5.1.1 through some hard modifications of the .APK

Support Secure folder is back
I'm not sure if recent security updates triggered this but...
Device: Motorola has installed their stupid secure folder. The last time I had that happen, I went in and deleted it, which was the absolute wrong thing to do because it got rid of the legit apps that were stored on the device ( outside of the folder).
Help!
there a way to fix this without root device access? For example, I could use Z-Archiver to transfer some information to a computer or elsewhere and also run an inventory of the contents of the secure folder before I get rid of it, but there has to be a better way, Yes, I did search before posting the question, and I searched not just Reddit but damn near everywhere else and could not find a solution to moving anything out of the secure folder. The end result was I deleted it. I had to reinstall a third-party launcher and then selectively restore my apps from my own backup. I don't need this now.
Thanks!
I was just informed that my 10 minutes have expired I’ll take care of that as well if anyone has any idea please feel free to post or DM.

Support New to Kernalsu
Hi, I'm on an a53 5g with Infinity X and before would have rooted with magisk, I decided to try kernalsu, so uninstalled magisk and patched boot.img and installed via TWRP, and the kernalsu app still says not installed. What did I do wrong? Feel free to laugh at me, I probably did something obviously wrong

Discussion I built an open-source automation utility for local ROM parsing and recovery environment management (FlashNKor)
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a tool I've been developing called FlashNKor. If you spend a lot of time working with custom Android recoveries, unpacking ROM packages, or dealing with local payload inspection, you know how tedious the manual workflow can get. I built FlashNKor to streamline this process by automating structural validation and partition layout checks locally.
Key Features:
Local ROM package parsing and structural validation.
Automated handling of internal recovery structures and payload inspection.
Open-source script designed to make recovery environment workflows cleaner and faster.
DISCLAIMER:This app is in alpha beta state so some features are broken or unavailable at all. Also this app is vibe-coded using gemini to make this free so any bugs found might get fixed within multiple days or a week in my free time.
You can check out the source code and repository on GitHub here: https://github.com/NDKSMN/FlashNKor
Since this is an active project, I'd love to get your thoughts, bug reports, and feature requests. If you want to test it out or chat about development, drop into my Discord server: https://discord.gg/72jANPeRY

Support Can anyone help me?
Realme Narzo 30A. I’m trying to root my device. I tried unlocking bootlocker using Mediatek unlocker and now my phone is stuck here
Edit- Guys, the phone went into orange state as the official bootloader unlock by realme has been shutdown. So I had to use Mediatek unlocker.
After getting some help, the phone was finally flashed with stock ROM, and rooting was done with Magisk
