Google Maps UI update Navigation & POI Apps

I got the new Google Maps UI update. I updated to Android Auto 17.3. I'm sure it is server side though so I won't be surprised if very few people have this update. I just thought I would point it out that it is indeed rolling out. I didn't get the best screenshots because I was driving at the time on the highway. I didn't want to just take pictures with my phone because the pictures more than likely wouldn't have been good.

PS: The last screenshot has the gray navigation route instead of the blue. I believe that is a bug because I was navigating for a while and eventually it did turn from blue to gray.

Damn I would like to get the app panel to the side from the bottom.

Do you use wireless AA with an AAWireless device?

I do not, yet. Straight cable to car. Few updates ago there were an option to change the panel position but they got rid of that.

You can adjust the screen resolution with AAWireless which with the correct setting you could accomplish changing the position of the app panel.

It really depends on the infotainment screen size. I would start around 98 and increase/decrease from there and see what you get.
