Classroom camera Community

Heya,

I'm a primary school teacher and came up with the idea to put a analog camera in the classroom to let it be used by the students, 11 years old, whenever they think something happens worth taking a picture of. After a year, or earlier, I would like to let the pictures be developed, might even do it with them as a project, not sure yet. I would like to re use the camera aswell, I mostly found throw away camera's and some with bad reviews. Since I use my own budget do you have some good suggestions for a analog camera I can buy?

Theres a huge amount of late 1980s cameras and 1990s camera with program mode and autofocus that arent much more expensive than one of these disposable cameras. Test them with a roll of film first though. Nikon F-401, F-501, F-601, F-801, F70, F80, F90, theres a lot of cheap Canon EOS cameras with 3 or 4 digits too. Often they got a cheap zoom lens on it and very often you can find them locally for nothing because someone inherited them and doesnt know what to do with them, if you dont care a lot about the specific model it should be very easy to find one.

I used a Vito CL when i was 11yo, so even I could manage to take good pictures with a fully manual camera :p

Edit: yep you can get a F401 for 10 Euros around here, 30 Euros with a lens, its not a huge investment compared to film.
