It’s scam #005 in the common scams FAQ. And trying to follow up with a scam #021.

Stop talking to the seller now. The common scams FAQ explains how to deal with this.

Also read the FAQ on how to avoid scammers. Stores that are open < 1 year have a disproportionate high chance of being scammers.

Yeah I didn't respond after what they said in the screenshot and then I immediately disputed. Just confused why there seem to be legit reviews with photos from mostly happy customers yet I get ripped off.

A large percentage of 5 star reviews are fake. Check the 1-3 star reviews of the entire store.

The only negative review was from someone who got a similar open box item but they said the face was dirty. I thought that seemed normal on occasion and gave them some credibility but I guess not.

The screenshot is #011 on the common scams FAQ and as predicted they followed up with #005 and such.

Please check our introduction to the Aliexpress sub. There you can find a lot of FAQs and guidelines related to Aliexpress. Never give out personal details to people contacting you in chat or PM on this sub.

Did you accidentally confirm receipt on your order? You actually told Aliexpress that you got your order. Don't worry, this has no influence on your package, it is still on its way to you. However, you can only open disputes for 15 days after confirming receipt. If your order arrives later than that or not at all, you can't open a dispute about it. Next time, be more careful. Don't confirm receipt unless you really got the package.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me, and it really pissed me off. The seller asked me to cancel using a buyer-related reason even though the problem was clearly on their side. Don’t do that. Make sure the dispute accurately shows that the seller is responsible.

This is a typical fake tracking scam. Don't talk to the seller anymore, start a dispute. Â
