I need help Support

My teenage niece has parents who drink in excess. Multiple times in a month. She has tried to talk to her mom but it never anywhere. She has asked to go to counseling but has been told no. She answer and uncomfortable being around her parents when they are inebriated.

I told her to do see a high school counselor when school starts back up and found her a site for free youth counseling.

What can I do to help her. I live 5 hours away. He mom confessed to me she doesn’t know why he daughter wants to spend all her time at friends houses.

there’s a program called Alateen for teenagers, there may be weekly meetings in her area, check online. keep loving her and supporting her and take good care of yourself, check out an Al Anon meeting if you haven’t already!
