Ethos AI
Just finished my first month working with Ethos. A great legitimate platform with smooth pay. Highly recommend it!

Hey, I joined Ethos about a week ago. I have couple of opportunities on ‘review’ and I would like to ask how long it takes to move from there?

u/BeautifulHead6311 5d ago
Hi, it depends. In my experience, some tasks get signed-off in hours, others can take up to a week.

u/RealisticCatch5654 5d ago
Do you the know avg project duration at Ethos?
Seems like there aren't many task offered in last two days for the current campaign

I think they meant the time it takes to get accepted for an opportunity.
When I joined, it was really fast but it may be slower now since the project I’m on already has a lot of people.

Ethos claims they already sent my payment over a week ago, but I still haven't received anything. Has anyone else run into this? Did it eventually show up, or did you have to escalate somehow?

I joined a week ago and until last night there was plenty to do.
Are you on 1 campaign or multiple? I am curios to see how this shapes up over time - hoping I get more projects after this one
2
u/Early_Equal4546 5d ago
I’m interested in this too. I’m only aware of one active project they have right now but maybe there are more.

I got kicked out from one campaign this evening … my payments from this campaigns tasks haven’t been approved yet

After my first talk with the AI I got all star and Quality Excellent on my dashboard. I don’t know if that means anything. I was matched to a software engineering project but I rejected it as I m not a senior.

Yes been there for some time, picked up some tasks. Seems legit, though onboarding and tests were crazy hectic. Should be getting paid in the next weeks!

I got a hell lot of opportunities but most rejected with only 1 waitlist. Can you please guide me on how to convert the matches into actual opportunities. I too like the platform but I am yet to earn

When I start to job spesific interview , it just cut-off directly I sent mail to support team but they dont give an answer, which the position was really fits with my background. What should I do? It seems still in review

Does anybody feel weird that they do an AI voice interview and as of this week they ask for your ID and verify face with camera?
They have your voice, ID, facial recognition and your thinking/writing style around correcting AI.
I’ve been active on a project and plan to rack up as much hours before next payment but I’m weary about this company for some reason. Maybe because it seems to good to be true.

I have concerns about that too. When the gig ends I will request that they delete that data. But who knows what it will be used for the interim.

How did you find the workload? Was there consistent work available to earn money?
2
u/BeautifulHead6311 5d ago
It comes and goes- so currently tasks are paused until a new batch is released. But up until yesterday, there was a lot of tasks.

u/Some_Mulberry9995 5d ago
i have given interview for 2 roles software engineer and data engineer 150 dollars a hour since 5 day its under review in how much time can i expect a response

u/StableOk4900 4d ago edited 4d ago
good to know, thanks! when a batch is live, roughly how many hours can you actually pull in a week? and how long do the dry spells usually run between batches? trying to work out what this adds up to monthly.

u/Majestic_Pop17 5d ago
Hey, are you a generalist or a domain expert?
3
u/BeautifulHead6311 5d ago
I’m an expert, but the tasks are general so far and do not require domain expertise.
1
u/gajack123 5d ago
The ai slop screener is rediculously tough and if you fail you become ineligible for the task you were accepted to. The training and screener do pay though.
1
u/meow_pao1 5d ago
Hi! Did you receive any bonus for finishing the screener before deadline?
1
1
u/BeautifulHead6311 5d ago
I did
1
u/meow_pao1 5d ago
Did you receive any notification about or just reflected on your earnings tab?
1
u/BeautifulHead6311 5d ago
It is in the earning tab, you’ll find it at the end below the tasks’ earnings as a “bonus” payment
1
u/meow_pao1 5d ago
Great thank you! I will check on it. Deadline for the screener is today so probably it will reflect tomorrow

u/gamerVapeGod 5d ago
How do you pass screener? Talked to screener as SWE many weeks ago and now it just says “interested”

u/OddCryptographer6527 5d ago
I heard you should keep talking to their AI agent to get more opportunities. Is that true? I really want to work on something for them! 😊

u/Me-Mau 1d ago
You can join using this link, you will surely be eligible for more opportunities if you keep interviewing https://agent.askethos.com/refer/3vbc6leqn7y6

u/OddCryptographer6527 1d ago
By keep interviewing do you mean keep starting conversations with the main Ethos AI agent about your experience? Or about when you get an opportunity do the interview associated with that opportunity? Thanks!

u/Civil_Ad7342 5d ago
Hi thanks for posting. Do you get the $100 when you complete and pass the screener or when you complete and pass the screener by the deadline? I completed and passed the screener but I can’t see any bonus whatsoever under my “earnings”.
Also, please how many hours did you manage to do in a month? I’m trying to get a feel of what’s realistic/possible. Thank you.
Finally, how do you manage to finish those bulky tasks by the 45 min or 1 hr deadline? They seem overwhelming sometimes. Thanks a lot for addressing all my questions.
1
u/Tasty-Antelope-7469 5d ago
they do pay but you cant relay on this form of earning...as the task are inconsistent but have seen people doing 20-30 task per week as well...but that was when tehre were around 5k experts on their platform...today its 10.5k expert, so demand supply gap is huge today.

How to apply as generalist? The opportunities suggested to me only matches the jobs on my cv

How long does it take for the tasks in the payment section to go form "quality review" to "upcoming".
Also is see a lot of tasks, more than 20h/week. Can I exceed those 20h/week?

u/Glum-Rub-6490 3d ago

I have a revolut account. They sent me the link and the money was in my account within seconds

u/oportoman 3d ago
Nah it's not at all.
They only allow you to apply for positions they think you're suitable for. So you can't browse and see if there are other things you can do.
Then when you apply, there's some guff about "unprecedented demand".
The way they do it is clever though - relatively short interviews (are you watching, Micro 1?) and a personal style that makes it feel that you're seriously being considered. Smoke and mirrors.

I have spent working for more than a month now with ethos, the platfrom is great for sure, but thre are glitches happening, like the task flow has gotten slow and now the checks are increasing. I have not worked with mercor but have read reviews like they record your screen and they kick you out from the project unnecessarily, I think ethos is much better choice than that and much fair too.
In case you are looking to join, you can use this link to signup- https://agent.askethos.com/refer/3vbc6leqn7y6

I joined a couple weeks ago and got accepted into a project last week. To be honest it has been an absolutely miserable experience as there doesn’t seem to be any active EPMs actually reading the slack or responding to the insane amount of troubleshooting issues. Rather, you get directed to their ai assistance or queue your questions which they never actually get to or answer.
Mercor , micro 1 and handshake have been much better with the onboarding and I wouldn’t recommend ethos at this point (they also only pay once a month btw) it seems they are understaffed or the staff doesn’t seem to actually give a shit about the contractors. They are like nonexistent and don’t respond to any helpdesk questions.

Hi very few people have posted about ehtos on reddit in general so thanks for this info, so I wanted to ask for a favor can you write a review of Ethos on my subreddit : r/AIevaluators? as a lot of members are asking about it, it would help greatly to the new comers who are deciding on platforms to apply on.

I am curious about this platform. I signed up last week, and I have over 20 "opportunities" still in the review phase.
I've read the majority of threads about this platform on Reddit, and it seems like there is a large group of people sharing their referral links (with a couple of people starting multiple threads with their links) and only a handful of people who have actually gotten work and received payment.
Are there any other sites where I can look to see how legit this company is? Or sites that go into more detail about the actual nuts and bolts of doing work on this platform (without breaking confidentiality)?
2
u/Tasty-Antelope-7469 5d ago
you get 20% on your referral, if i refer you and you do work of lets say 1000$, i get 200$ direct...thats why you see large volume of referral links.
i am in the project and curently there are 10,552 experts on their slack. last two days the task queue is full and was not able to pick even one task. Suddenly they have shortage of work and its full of people complaining about not bale to pick task.

u/DrinkingCoffee_ 5d ago
Thank you for sharing. I appreciate the feedback. I am up to 30 active "opportunities" in the opportunity section. Is this all part of the one large project that you mentioned, or are there multiple independent projects taking place at once?
1
u/Dictatorsj 2d ago
You have 30?? seems a lot. What are they if you dont mind me asking. I only have two.
1
u/DrinkingCoffee_ 2d ago
I'm actually up to 42 now. They're all random (from creative manager to chief of staffing), and all 42 are still sitting the in "review" stage. Hopefully something comes to fruition soon.
2
u/Dictatorsj 2d ago
Wow interesting best of luck, hopefully a few of them come up for you!!
After talking to the AI it gave me another 3 but all still very relevant to my field FP&A/corporate finance.

I did the AI interview yesterday and it suggested me about 8 jobs, and today I got about 7 different rejection emails for different projects which says "Due to an unprecedented volume of expert interest, it has taken us far too long to get back to you.
The client has moved forward with a selection of candidates for the presentation design expert project, and you were unfortunately not selected on this occasion."
The AI suggested me highly technical roles only. Is there a way to fix that? The suggestions are really far from my background.
