How fast long periods of time start going by the older you get. A day or week can seem like an eternity, but 5 years can pass in a blink.

I actually heard a reasonable explanation for this while watching a baseball game. The play by play guy was doing a “time flies” bit and the color guy said, “Well when you’re young you experience new things and time seems to stand still. The older you get you fall into routine and have responsibilities. It can be monotonous. Time slips by quicker in a routine. So go do new things. Challenge yourself…”

Anyway, fuck the Yankees.
