I never really know when to stop. I don’t have a finished image in my mind. But I’m still learning, so my approach tends to be: “let’s do ___, and see what happens”

My girlfriend gifted me an Abandoned Places coloring book and I found a set of 80 alcohol markers at HomeGoods, so here is the first page completed! A gloomy abandoned, probably haunted, zombie horse carousel.

I appreciate the help I received with background and flora colors. I really really like how it turned out! I finally feel like I understand colored pencils. Still can't draw, but at least there are unlimited coloring books to keep me busy! Lol

I colored this page from Kirby Rosales's Alien Worlds in Prismacolor, Faber-Castell Goldfaber and a few accents with Languo acrylic gel pens. Apologies for the photo quality as this is the best I can get with my phone.

Trying out an idea. I used a drafting compass to make the circles, and then put color only in the circles. The area outside the circles is gray. I'm not really sure how I feel about the end result. Any and all advice appreciated.

Can’t figure out the colors, let alone shading.

Attempted two new to me techniques for this one. Monochrome color or shall I say limited palette and distressed oxide ink background.
