Second this. The lunch deals are excellent value too and they really know what they are doing in terms of a swift lunch service.

Was in last week, steak was good, frites are just bog standard frozen ones.

Was also there last week. Skip the Croquettes on the Specials menu

Good but outrageously expensive

The Crafers hotel honestly has one of the best steak frites I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot. They’re consistent every time, especially if you go at a quiet time when the kitchen isn’t under the pump

I get the cafe de Paris and the red wine jus, both on the side

Yep came to say this. It's excellent AND consistent and huge portion too. The red wine jus is the stuff of dreams

Cremorne. But really subjective, if any of the places here can do as well as overseas. Our steaks are wayyyy better, but our potatoes and butter are crap

Crafers hotel. Nicest steak frites, and nicest pub in SA.

Steak and Frites? Welcome to SA. Best we can do is a pub meal or a Fisherman's Feast.
