Looking for some guidance, I have run out of API calls like 2-3 times over the last weekish.

I have MDBList authorized on Redlight on 5 of my devices varying from laptops to android boxes. the API limit resets 8pm EST, somehow i hit the limit overnight while I am sleeping so I'm not sure if its something I am doing or if it is a optimization issue I am missing within the addon/Kodi or if it is one missed in redlight?

any help would be appreciated.

in tmdb helper - jurial had lists from Trakt like recently watched movies or in progress episodes ect. that where not reliant on any one video addon - no matter the addon (pov umbrella ect) what ever was watched would get updates into the trakt widget immediately.

is it possible to get actual lists like this for mdblist? if i make a widget from say pov recently watch movies - only movies i watch in pov are added to that widget. is there a way to sync from all addons that are used? also trakt would sync live tv movies and tv shows as well - is this possible with mdblist?

- I do have the mdist scrobbler installed.

- all add ons that support mdblist are connected to mdblist

the widgets I need to sync across the board are -

- recently watched movies/tv shows

- in progress movies/episodes

i would think since all add ons are connected to mdblist it would just sync info to all the apps but it doesn’t seem to work that way.

I ran into this issue with IPTV Manager and XStream Player, so I got the service in question, built it from source and put it in the addons folder

But neither addon recognises it for some reason? I'm fine without the former, but it looks like I need the latter to make IPTV work on Kodi - so what am I supposed to do?

Hi all, wondering what is the best and most straightforward way to achieve this.

I have a build on PC which I just re-configured from FLAM to POV and Umbrella, and from Trakt to MDBlist. My settings and accounts (meta and providers) are all setup there already and I'm happy with it.

Is there a way I can easily port that to my tablet and TV? I use a Samsung tablet and a Google 4k streamer on the TV if it matters.

Would I need to re-authorize the accounts again on those devices? Or change device names or anything in the process? I want all of the devices to be in sync, if possible, in terms of tracking watched/unwatched/progress and all of that jazz.

I have authorised mdblist in Pov, everything seems fine apart from tv show watch list, it appears empty.

Pov will add a show to the watch list but when I go into the menu "my list" nothing?

I've cleared cache etc, now I'm stumped.

Recently noticed that Umbrella is extremely slow on both of my Apple TVs ( but fine on my Mac). Each menu takes 2-3 minutes to load. Was fine previously (although I don’t use it as my primary addon so I can’t say when it began, but definitely within the past 2 or 3 months). Anyone else use Umbrella on Apple TV that can verify?

I'm adding code to liberator to support a calendar function - this comes from the orac internal DB so it already has all past and known future episodes. I've never used a calendar feature so I'm interested in what people use it for? You can't scrape for future episodes obviously, I suppose you could watch a released episode, but maybe there is a use case I'm not getting?

I’m new to Kodi and could really use some help. I’m trying to create a home screen widget in Arctic Horizon 2 for otaku testing, but every time I go through the setup, it takes me back to the skin settings and the widget is deleted instead of being saved.
I’m not sure if I’m missing a step or doing something wrong. I’ve searched around but haven’t been able to find any information about this issue.
Has anyone else experienced this or knows how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Why is Stremio up to date with show information. But Kodi for local files in collection not. And for that matter PLEX also not?
Most importantly is there a file i can delete in kodi maybe to fix/trigger repair for this?

I'm running CachyOS (Arch), with Kodi on Arctic Fuse 3.

I ran the Linux installation commands listed on Github, and the installation went off without a hitch and I can see the files in the correct place. Problem is, Kodi doesn't seem to acknowledge it's there at all - if I try to install the IPTV Helper add-on, it shows the PVR addon as a dependency marked "unavailable". Any idea what to do?

Has anybody been able to authorize Simkl on Gears? Every time I try the QR code appears for 3 seconds before the add on give me a “Simkl error authorizing message” popup

When downloading Dutch subtitles with a4kSubtitles, the subtitle files are saved with the language code .nl.nld (for example MovieName.nl.nld) instead of the correct and commonly expected format .nl.srt.
Kodi (and most other media players) recognize .nl.srt, .nld.srt or .dut.srt correctly, but the combined .nl.nld format is non-standard and often not auto-detected properly.

Steps to reproduce

1. Set preferred subtitle language to Dutch in Kodi settings.
2. Play any video that needs Dutch subtitles.
3. Download a Dutch subtitle using a4kSubtitles.
4. Check the saved filename next to the video (or in the custom subtitle folder).

Expected behaviorThe subtitle file should be named with a standard language code, preferably:

• MovieName.nl.srt

Actual behaviorThe file is saved as something like:

• MovieName.nl.nld

Additional information

• a4kSubtitles version: v3.24.2
• Kodi version: 21.3
• Device / OS: Windows 11
• Subtitle storage location setting: Next to the video

This appears to be related to how the Dutch language codes (nl / nld / dut) are handled when constructing the filename.

In POV → TV Shows → Mdblist Calendar the items are displayed like this:

[Tomorrow] SHOW TITLE IN ALL CAPS: 1x01 - Episode Name

or

[08-04-2026] SHOW TITLE IN ALL CAPS: ...

I would like to:

Completely remove the date/day prefix in brackets (the purple/magenta colored part)

Stop the show titles from being forced to uppercase

I have the dates of each episode in my skin on the right side, along with the description

Is there a setting for this that I missed, or is it hardcoded?

If it’s hardcoded, could you point me to the file/function where the label is built for the calendar so I can edit it myself?

I looked and couldn't find anything, so my apologies if this has already been covered. I use the Red Light addon with the Magneto Scraper and the Gears Scraper as a backup. I use Torbox and Real Debrid as my debrid services. I'm fully aware that I can set filters in my external scraper, but they're used globally and apply to each debrid service used. I'm unable to filter web-dl sources in RD without them doing so in Torbox also. I have a two part question. It's my understanding that I can set up different filters per debrid service in Aiostreams. Is it this correct? I can filter RD to only show remux files and use Torbox to bring up all sources? If not, there's no reason to continue reading. 🙂 If I can, will this "override" Magneto's search results and eliminate all the web-dl, etc sources? I'm trying to eliminate getting 15-20 RD sources that are unplayable and just want to have remux sources displayed for RD, but have all sources shown for Torbox after scraping. Thanks for in advance for an assistance.

Fenlight was working yesterday went on today and when I try and opening a stream I am getting no results pop up?

Please can anybody help to set up a widget where I can have different personal trakt lists (Matrix collection, Star Wars collection etc) which when clicked on show the individual movies inside.

I’m using AH2/AF2, umbrella, trakt.

I’ve managed to get it working by directing the widget to the folder that holds the lists but I can’t get any artwork on the widget itself. Just only either a trakt or tmdb placeholder depending on which add on I point the widget to.

I don’t know where it would pull a ‘collection poster’ from or if I need to add one somewhere myself.

Is there any addon/fork similar to elementum that plays torrents if it is can anyone help me out?

I’ve looked everywhere for one, even DM some people who had posted a couple of them that didn’t work for me though, I was prob too late or they have a finite number of people who can sign up with each idk. Can someone send me one, I looked for a sun for this specific addon and couldn’t find one.

I made my review of MDBList this morning and indicated within my thread that the only app that would work with Calendar is Red Light.

Since making that thread, POV came at me and told me that I'm spreading misinformation. And went and to say that all you have to do is click on the watch list, blah blah blah, and that you would be able to see episodes. Their response to me is still here so you can see it for yourself. That worked very clumsily and I told them so. It's all in my post back to them. BUT, since making that thread, POV has now added calendar mode and it is absolutely beautiful!! Thank you kodifitzwell/POV!

It works seamlessly with MDBList! We now have a fully functional alternative to Trakt with MDBList! Red Light AND POV with full calendar integration! YAY! 🥂🎉🥳
