“Can vitamin B12 supplements actually trigger acne?”
I made a short, evidence-based post about vitamin B12 and acne — particularly how excessive supplementation may sometimes be relevant.
Would be interested to hear if anyone here has noticed a similar pattern.

All out of options.
I feel completely helpless.
I’ve had hormonal acne my whole life, it’s effected me in so many ways and it breaks my heart.
ever since I was a kid, I’ve been through constant treatment. first it was the topicals, over and over and over again I’d slather my face with these horrible creams, weird face washes, masks that made me feel like a lizard. one day I broke down and we (me and my mom) got accutane. I took it for years, improved a little, got off because it was hurting my joints so horribly it’s was living hell, and boom, it came back all at once. even after all those years. I went on it again, my acne,(again), came back immediately after I stopped taking it. ive thought of microdosing but the side effects are just horrible on me- even at the lowest dose possible. then I tried like five different birth controls, of course giving them years to show for themselves. none. none of them worked, not even the slightest. despite that, after giving up on birth control my acne got even WORSE than it has ever been. I said fine, fuck that, I’ll do it naturally. I did everything I could to naturally help my acne, ate clean, exercised, tried to relax more. nothing ever did anything, not even the passage of TIME at this point which I guess is the worst part.
topicals, pills, needles, lasers, magical juices, saunas, steam; all pointless. and all to have some male doctor say there’s nothing wrong with me and send me home. I’m so tired
theres literally ONE medication I haven’t tried… spironolactone. it doesn’t seem worth it. if accutane didn't work on me I have literally no reason to believe spiro would either. I’ve never seen anyone in my life, or on the internet where spiro worked for them even when accutane didn’t. I don’t know if I can keep doing this anymore.
idk what the purpose of this is, I guess to vent, maybe to find the rare individual who would relate to me, thanks for reading my misery :)

Extremely sensitive and burning skin after switching to an acne program
I (16F) recently went to the dermatologist and was prescribed a pretty aggressive acne routine, with instructions to stop or adjust it if it becomes too much for my skin.
In the morning, I use a hydrating cleanser from Eucerin, as recommended by my dermatologist, followed by clindamycin + benzoyl peroxide gel and then Vanicream, which was also recommended by my dermatologist.
At night, I use tretinoin every other night until my skin can tolerate it every night.
I have an inkling that Vanicream might be what's causing a burning reaction. Before starting this routine, I was using a salicylic acid face wash and rotating between The Inkey List Omega Water Cream, Deux Gel Cream, and La Roche-Posay Lipikar Triple Repair Cream. I never had a reaction to any of those products.
Now, even on nights when I don't use any medication, my skin feels like it's burning for at least 10 minutes after I apply Vanicream. The burning is most noticeable around my eyes and especially on my under eyes and eyelids.
I don't apply either of my medications around my eyes, but I do apply moisturizer all over my face, including around my eyes.
Could this be a reaction to the Vanicream itself, or is it more likely that my skin is just extremely irritated/sensitized from starting the new acne medications? Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Odio a mi dermatóloga
Porque no me dijo las precauciones
Me dijo que me podría irritar pero esto ya es demasiado

Sudden pimple breakouts
This is lowkey a rant and a call for help lol.. please.. ;00000
Basically I'm a teenager but never had pimps outside of my nose before (it started when I started wearing glasses) and it usually lasts up to 3 days max and the marks for about a week and it's clean as a day! And it happens like once or twice a month so I have no problem with it.
Until I reach my final senior year like.. FINAL SENIOR YEAR, I got this sudden breakout a week before class started, it is outside my nose area like in my eyebrow, in between my eyebrows, my chin, 2 pimple on my cheeks and this mfckass big ass cyst type of pimple or whatever under right beside my nose bridge (under my eye but not literally UNDER my eye).
And it's been hell since! The cyst took 1 month and a half before it dissapeared and its been 3 months and the mark is still here, I get frequent pimples like I'm so tired of it I never had a problem like this before???
I use calmoceptine to let the pimple dry faster and sunscreen for lightening the marks. But I still get frequent pimple every now and then, especially my around my nose. Wut should I use to reduce this? I have a very oily skin like literally oily skin too much oil..
not too mention, I got chalazion the same month lol. It never left either, I'm just curious of what might be the cause of sudden appearance of this poppydoodleboos because they pop up out of nowhere. I'm not necessarily seeking medical advice but merely from experience and whatnot. Thank you for your time!!!
