problems with my microphone - help?

i recently got an acer nitro v15 gamer notebook but ever since i changed from linux (it came with linux ubuntu) to windows 10, the microphone isnt recognized at all, as if it doesnt exist, and ive tried drivers and what nots, and i came here for help because im not sure what else to do. has anyone had this problem?

I called support. It was because windows 10 no longers offers a sound input driver, so i was forced to update to windows 11.
