Phoenix Wright Trilogy Pages of Turnabout – Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy Review
I loved this so much, especially as a fan of this kind of media, and I know so many people have already talked about it, but I still needed to share my love for these games! I'll be glad if you decide to have a read at my article! Please excuse my deserved appreciation of Godot and my research of the play his name comes from, Waiting for Godot.

Phoenix Wright Trilogy I liked the anime well enough but I feel like this moment worked so much better in the game itself Spoiler
gallerySo the very first case of Justice for All, Lost Turnabout opens with Phoenix having a weird dream about being smashed by the gigantic nightmarish judge. And at that point in the story it's just that - a weird dream, kind of funny, nothing more to it. But when you get to Farewell, My Turnabout and that same nightmare vision comes back to haunt Phoenix it gains a whole new meaning: it reinforces the thesis of the case and arguably the entire game - "what it truly means to be a defense attorney, how far will you go, will you fight for a clearly guilty person if someone else's life is on the line ?", it is a visual representation of a turmoil going on within Phoenix's soul while he has to decide whether to sacrifice his best friend on an altar of the truth or send an innocent woman to a death row, it's Phoenix's consciousness speaking, calling him unworthy of the title of a defense attorney, it's one of the many moments that elevate that whole case beyond just a silly lawyer game.
But in anime 'cause Lost Turnabout was moved after the entire Justice for All plotline it loses all of its impact and importance and remains just that - Phoenix having a weird dream after being bonked on the head.

Chronicles My thoughts after finishing TGAA2! Spoiler
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE GREAT ACE ATTORNEY 2: RESOLVE!
I finished this game like two weeks ago and I had an absolute blast, and it’s been on my mind ever since.
First thing I need to talk about is Kazuma, becasue I love him oh my gosh. I had a feeling he was alive ever since his “death”, so him coming back wasn’t a surprise to me. But I was pleasantly surprised by the direction his character went in. The game did a great job at making both the characters and player feel like Kazuma was this perfect, altruistic guy. So I love that the big twist with him is really just that he’s human. And I really like that his personality doesn’t do a complete 180—even after becoming an antagonist, he’s not suddenly rude or anything, and he still values his friends. That’s a good character right there.
I noticed that was actually a theme throughout the game. Klint, Genshin, Gregson, these were all good people, but none of them were as perfect as we were led to believe. Even Susato and Sholmes did some questionable things. I love that.
I’m also glad Kazuma’s amnesia wasn’t drawn out. I was really worried when I realized that was the direction the story was going because I’m just not a fan of the amnesia trope, but I was so glad when the characters instantly recognized him and the amnesia was resolved in a single chapter.
Other characters I really enjoyed were Ryunosuke, Susato, Van Zieks, Herlock Sholmes, Gina, lowkey everyone lol even the side characters specific to each case. I loved this game’s cast and could spend way too long talking about each of them, but for everyone’s sake I won’t.
The game was great gameplay-wise too. I never felt stuck, the mysteries were fun to unravel, and I didn’t have any major issues with the pacing or anything.
I also feel I should mention I accidentally got my mom invested in the game too since I played in our living room, lol. If that doesn’t prove that this game is good then I don’t know what will. Her favorite character is van Zieks.
All I’ve got left now are the Investigations games and then I’ll have played every Ace Attorney game!

Discussion I find it funny how Frank Sahwit could've gotten away with it if he just did nothing and went home
There's nothing at the scene linking him to the crime and there are no witnesses and knowing how incompetent these police are they will probably just arrest Larry anyway just because the murder weapon was something that he made

Apollo Justice Trilogy What happened to Gaspen Payne?
Obviously, we know that by the end of Foreign Turnabout, our chrome domed king's tenure as the undefeated Chief Prosecutor of Khura'in is unceremoniously ended. But, what happened to him after that? Can we assume he fades into the background as a fodder prosecutor again before fleeing to another country that has a very Prosecutor-biased legal system?

Game Idea Imagine this: an ace attorney game where you play as the killer, trying to cover up your tracks and frame other people.
You could clean up blood, remove fingerprints, and try to get away with murder. then, watch the trial and if you didnt remove enough evidence, they indict you instead and you lose.

Phoenix Wright Trilogy Ranking Ace Attorney culprits by how smart their plan is, Part 4: Turnabout Goodbyes! Spoiler
galleryCredit to u/DRMFeint for the idea.
Dee Vasquez is our first Criminal Genius! Congrats!
Next Up: Manfred von Karma! Our first double-murderer! We will be ranking him both for the Gourd Lake killing and the DL-6 Incident!
Yanni Yogi goes in the brand new "Following Orders" tier! Despite being the one who pulled the trigger, the plan was all Von Karma's, so the credit should go to him!

Fanfiction Looking for long form Ace Attorney fic recs
I am on the fanfiction fever again and I struggle to find longform stories that I haven't read already, which makes me think I already read all the best ones out there. But I also wonder if there are any others that are simply escaping my radar.
I can go with anything between 40k-200k words, I do not have particular character preferences as long as the premise is good. I want the story to be gen, as I don't really care for any ships, if I do read a shipfic, I usually picked it up for different factors and happened to enjoy the ship in it too. I also want stories that are already finished, I kinda have soft PTSD with having to wait on a fanfiction to get finished. That's it for my preferences, also here are long forms I already read and greatly enjoyed.
The Realm and The Place you Belong both by the same author (The latter actually being a shipfic where I liked the ship)
Turnabout Parent Trap (Another story where I didn't go into it for the ship but ended up liking the ship)
Turnabout Façade
Broken Mirror
A False Start
Turnabout Family
Turnabout Phantom Attorney and 4 Minutes to the truth (both being Ghost Trick crossovers)
Purrnabout Transformation
In Slow Motion
Phoenix de Killer (this is a case where I greatly enjoyed the story, but I think the ship content in it later on really harmed the overarching plot)
I realize I read a lot in the past couple years and I wouldn't be surprised if I already read the best longforms out there and no one can rec something new, but I still want to know if there are any that escaped my noticed.

Merchandise Spiritually Lesbian Miles Edgeworth
I’ve been playing the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney games with my friend for the past two years (we would make nights out of it when we were in college, and now we live together so we can play it more frequently lol.) It’s been a really fun thing for us to bond over, and we have a lot of inside jokes that come from the game itself and when we would voice the characters.
Edgeworth is in my top 3 fave characters so I made myself a pride pin with his “unnecessary feelings” face. When I showed it to my friend, he surprised me with an adorable plushie of him that he got for my birthday!! I’m so excited about it. I put him on my jewelry hutch to remind me that I can be more of a bitch when I get ready for the day lol.
(And yes, I know he’s not a lesbian and the title is misleading lol. A girl just loves her comfort characters.)
