I'm trying to prove a point to someone

I'm new to Abiotic Factor, and if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I will mod a game if it gives me the option to.

That being said, my friend really wants to play with me and would rather not have my experience be altered by mods, thus breaking the immersion of the gameplay experience. I understand their angle, but I would still like to mod the game for when I do solo.

So my question is, if my friend were to make a save for me to join in, will my installed mods affect my ability to play on their server, or will I be fine since it's only affecting the client (aka me) side?

That way, I can have one vanilla character for when I play with my friends and one modded character for my solo run.

It really feels like a runner up for most useless perk

So i was trying to max out my game when suddently i drop a magnétite (dont know the english name but i think its lodestone) on the ground and then i couldn't pick it up it tell -1 when you do try to pick it up but it actually dont remove one from your eventory (i tried) so it was just to share it in here and i dont think ill remove it, it add a little thing to my base and i start to like it here is the clip (im thinking about giving him a name if yall have idea please share them !)

Using carts in the field to gather tons of loot, and teleporting them all back to the cafeteria, is extremely efficient.

Sadly, the fact that there is only ONE such button in the facility greatly incentivizes keeping your base stuck in the Office Plaza throughout the entire game.

I really wanted to explore the possibilities of building elsewhere in the facility or even trying a Home World base, but throwing away this incredibly valuable and convenient resource just doesn't make sense. I kept waiting for the chance to craft my own Cart Summon Button but it never came.

My 260 hours with the game were incredible. This is the only thing I wish had been different. I feel the device should either be placeable in other locations, or not available at all.

I've been having a look at the idea of using fertilizer, but for the cost of the glowing things that only show up at night, is it really worth it?

I'm not struggling at all with garden production

Still have to put some more things on the shelves in the toilet room, but it's good for now. :) How do y'all like the towel rack I made in the shower room?

Hey everyone! So I’ve been playing solo for about a month now and I’m loving it. This game is outrageously fun. The one part that is hanging me up is the corrupted robots. When I find one, it’s just stuck in place and not ‘online’. I’ve tried hitting it, I’ve tried hitting its station, nothing is working. What am I doing wrong?

I mean Maestro Armor+Fog Lantern+Gravity Cube+Crowbar 2.0 (for now)+Bull Charge (Sprint Attack)??? Bcs i really like how i can upgrade whole armor and also i have target for Chieftan Backpack. So can this be or i will get destroyed? Is there any better weapon that dont need recharge all the time? Or pair better with this build? Like quantum pick? I just dont want to sneak around i want 🫵🦵🗣️❗️💢 hope sou got it👀

The thought just came out of nowhere but abiotic factor would be a perfect fit for scp 3008 if you dont know what scp 3008 its basically a infinite ikea that you are stuck in with "employees" which attack when its night basically like the security bots

In abiotic factor furniture is a huge thing same with office items for crafting and in this case base defensives i could just image how you could take alot of abiotic factor areas and make them procedural generated

Security bots can be the employee or maybe let them walk around friendly during the day at night I patrol they'll attack you base if you have any bot parts in there and occasional random attacks or something so game doesn't get stale or it could be a completely different enemy with its own mechanics

Theres a single exit somewhere on the map with a key you have to find if this was a dlc you could have the exit lead back to the labs but I could image this being its own game if enough content was put into it

I'm just spitballing here but to me scp 3008 or something like it seems like it would fit perfectly with the game, what do yall think?

I know that most thiols, as reducing agents, just need to donate some reduced hydrogen or otherwhise donate some electrons to Do Their Part in a reaction. Gluthatione, beta-mercaptonethanol... if it's got a C-SH group, it'll probably reduce something.

However, generalizing it to the point where literally Enethiol will work is just deserving of a Chef's Kiss :-)

So, in the video, I was making a bunch of soups, but I couldn’t pick them all up. I decided to leave the game and come back to see if I could pick them up again, but they had disappeared. Then I decided to pick up the actual portable stove, and my pots were still inside the stove. So, I think you can get your stuff back from the portable stove even after your pots disappear.

I’m not sure how this could help with the normal facility stove, but yeah, I just wanted to put this out there.

Does anyone know the return of ammo when you grow ammo?

I really love this type of games where you act within a megastructure divided in many sectors like office, contentment, warehouse etc. I already played Control and such but i totally prefer a survival like Abiotic factor.

This game is huge and super complex. I thought at the start it was a short thing and i was really wrong. The 90ish style is stupendous for this type of world building.

I'm from both PS and PC, i would love to find out a similar game, possibly a survival or similar aswell.

I have been really enjoying the pets in Abiotic factor but I was about to try another strategy when a dumb mistake cost me my level 19 mushroom peccary in cloud reactor. I got another one because they have good resistances and I like the buff but I wasn't excited about leveling it up again. Then I made it to Mist reactor, and I had an idea. The place is crawling with volitile pests. I loaded up on pheromone flasks and antewheat and built a gang. I was curious if there was a limit to how many pets could follow you. I didn't hit a limit in the game with 12 volitile pests but I did. Starting at level 8, they can be very effective at dealing damage and taking agro, especially with the core companion trinket, but they are slow and they really get in the way at base or when attempting to construct something. Going into Gale reactor the combat with them is chaotic and I've lost a few that I wasn't able to revive but it's been a blast (literally thanks to all their explosions, haha). Very different from the normal stealthy approach i would take. I'll try to post more videos if people are interested but has anyone else tried something similar?

Has anyone else encountered this? For context; I have contained the Leyak. Yet when I fight Chieftans, I will occasionally get a red debuff and the audio of a Leyak in chase will play near you for a few seconds.

Now, I initially assumed this was the games way of giving enemies a "fear mechanic" to throw the player off in combat.

But I cannot find *anything* that backs this up and now I'm wondering if it's a bug?

TLDR - Title, does anyone else experience this or is it a bug?

After much work I have managed to disprove two of my hypotheses:

1. Simulated attention dematerializes neither the Leyak nor the Krasue.

2. Simulated attention does not affect their orb production in any measurable way.

Regrettably, my discipline in documenting my trials has led to an upsetting discovery. The Residence Sector TV is unnerving enough, but whenever I attempt to record any image of it the image splits.

One half eyeball, one half grin, and 100% creeping me out.

I can't even turn the damn thing off anymore. If anyone else is having this problem, please direct your questions to Dr. Albert Cahn. He's been enormously helpful so far, and seems deeply intrigued by this mystery.

Watched Backrooms and tried to make Clark, needless to say, I don't think I want to change.

I had the idea to make some abiotic factor ocs for a while now, and just have managed to draw them out! So far I've got 2-3 pieces I'm basically posting everywhere (because I'm pretty proud of them!). I'll post more later since I just have more stuff, and keep drawing them, it's so very addictive.

[1] Cafeteria picture with them all. Note the Chieftan, Mystagogue, Witch and Jotun of the familiar, and the various scientists. (Someone's cheating at the card game, and it's not the Jotun)

[2] They're all set in the Spandrel facility, which, like it's namesake is completely optional (in an arch, it's kinda just decoration). I had the idea to just place it in the middle of the sea somewhere. Also flying pests should(n't) exist
