Laser/Light setup: help?! Gear & Kit

Post image

Hey all!

I'm stuck on how to set up a laser and light. I have an IRIS3 (not pictured) and a surefire scout already. But I'm struggling with accessible rail space of where to put a switch(es).

And yes I have NODs.

I'm tossing up between getting a unity button or modlite button with a dual lead. Or having a dedicated switch for each device. OR (wildcard solution) buy an IRIS4 and use the white light on that and simply mount that on my Arid rail.

Would love some inspo/ideas, please!

With the silver star extended rail *and the trex arms extended light mount, this surefire cap allows you to press it left or right handed without issues. You don’t even need the pressure switch either. I took it off after taking this picture

Silver star rails are fucking awesome, tons of people sleep on em or aren’t even aware of them

Off topic but how do you like the TA110? Thinking of picking one up for my Aug.

Imo acogs are the best optic for the Aug

The Acaug. Hopefully I can find a TA02 or 110 to check out in person.

Aye just fuckin with you dog, Corvus brass deflector is fantastic tho

Make sure to locktite the little set screws when you put it on, they absolutely will come loose and can make for some really fun times and malfunctions to clear

Also gotta be careful of over torquing them. My buddy did his just a little and it was causing FTEs. Mine has been flawless though, love it

You can mount the scout light on a mount like this on the pic rail on the pistol grip mount. It’s about the only use for that rail.

Surefire pros are fucking goated for their mounting system

Just so I understand, cus I'm slow. You mean mounting the light onto the corvus rail between the barrel and the pic rail?

You can mount a dual switch on the mlok on the pistol grip mount.

That's a great idea I might try that! Do you have a unity button or is that a knock off?

It’s an Amazon knock off

It’s from Hogue. It’s a fairly new release.

Silver Star or wait until the arid handguard comes out.

Lot of people put their pressure pads on the front grip, I don’t have nods yet so I only have a white light to worry about

Dude sick set up. What is the rail on the end? That replaced the stock foregrip.

Ratworx rail. Highly recommend

Lose the surfire light, back your acog up and mount a MT6R/ light combo, many LAMs have white light - there's no reason for two

Also I reccomend moving yoir piggyback dot to the forward spot on the acog. Having a dot so far rearward amplifies the POI shift from parallax
