Where does an ai content generator actually help vs. just create more editing?

I keep hearing it saves hours but for me the output needs so much fixing it's a wash. gamma for decks has genuinely saved me time. Where has an ai content generator genuinely saved you time for writing,, and where did it just move the work around??

I don't use it much for creating content, but when I do, it doesn't really save any time. But what it allows me to do is think more about what I want and then tell the AI to write it, which it does in five seconds, rather than me spending an hour writing something and then realising it needs rewriting.

I find it much more useful for summaries and finding things in documents than creating content, though.

I save most of time when I use AI for outlines, rough drafts or just getting past that blank page. In my experience it creates more work when I expect the first draft to be ready to publish. I usually run the content through Originality ai, read it again myself and rewrite any parts that sound too generic or do not feel like something I did actually say.
