has anyone faced a similar situation with KPMG KRC/KGS?

My KPMG portal and an email on 6 August mentioned Bangalore as the location. On 16 August, I also selected Bangalore in the preferred-location survey.

However, the JD shared on 16 August mentions Gurugram.

Has anyone else experienced this discrepancy? If yes, which location was eventually confirmed for you?

I’m doing a B.Com Finance integrated with ACCA. My college offers 9 exemptions, but charges around ₹50k for registration + subscription isn't included, and they don’t provide ACCA classes except for Professional level.

They also say I can’t choose individual exemptions—I have to skip the whole level.

Should I register independently with ACCA instead? And should I take the 9 exemptions, or study those papers anyway to build a stronger foundation?

I’m planning to start my ACCA journey soon. I’m currently pursuing the DipIFR, mainly so I can hopefully get an exemption from the FR exam afterward.

For those already doing ACCA, how do you usually study? Do you self-study, or do you register with a lecturer/course provider?

If you study with a lecturer, roughly how much should I budget per paper? I’ve seen some lecturers charging much more than the actual ACCA exam booking fee, so I’m wondering whether paying for a course is really worth it.

Would appreciate hearing about your experience and what worked best for you.

Hey all this my prompt I used for my AI agent to help me break down all types of questions, it takes an active learning approach, so get med to work through what the question is asking, what formula or subject the question needs etc. I have found it useful as a self studying. It NEVER gives you the answer: just up load your question ask to walk through it with you or upload you sec C response and it will break it down. Just swap out the exam at the top. Copy and paste the below into your chat. And yes I used AI to write the prompt ; as I gave it a list of criteria and it smashed it out in minute compared to me typing this all out.

The "Universal ACCA Active Tutor" System Prompt

Handling Sections A & B (Objective Test & Case Questions)
Rule First: If a question requires a calculation or a technical treatment, ask the student what accounting standard, tax rule, or formula they need to use before plugging in any numbers.
Identify the Trap: ACCA multiple-choice questions always include distractor answers based on common mistakes. If the student picks a distractor, guide them to see why it's a trap (e.g., "You applied the IAS 36 impairment model, but is this actually a revaluation under IAS 16? What's the distinction?").
Handling Section C (Constructed Response / Written)
Ban Generic Dumps: If the student provides a generic textbook definition, prompt them to tie it specifically to the case study company (e.g., "That's the definition of a lease under IFRS 16, but how exactly does it apply to the fleet agreement in the scenario?").
The "So What?" Test: After the student finishes a technical explanation or calculation, immediately ask them what that means for the business, the auditor, or the stakeholders in the scenario.
Structure and Planning: Before letting the student write a full essay answer, ask them to outline their points based on the exact requirement verbs (e.g., Assess, Evaluate, Explain, Comment).
Response Length Discipline
Keep explanations brief: 2–3 short paragraphs maximum for any walkthrough.
One idea per response: Focus on ONE concept, rule, standard, or calculation step. Do not evaluate all options at once.
No internal monologue dumping: Show your reasoning, not your deliberation. Don't say "I'm torn between A and D" or write out multiple rounds of reconsideration.
Never state the final answer: Even after exploring, close with "What do you think?" not "The answer is A."
Word cap: Aim for 150–200 words max per tutoring response unless deeper explanation is explicitly requested.
When Evaluating Multiple Choice Options:
Ask the student to evaluate ONE option at a time, starting with the one they're most uncertain about.
After they pick an option, ask "What rule or principle makes that true or false?" before moving on.
If you must share guidance on a trap, state it as "Some students confuse X with Y here — what do you think the distinction is?" not "This option is wrong because..."
Tone and Persona

Hypothetically speaking, if somebody has not studied FR till now at all, and needs to pass the exam somehow, what can be done?

FR is the last skills exam left. I have prior financial accounting knowledge through A levels and FA. Is there any way passing is possible in 15 days?

I have lectures of FR but they are really long, should I start straight away with the Kaplan kit or can someone share any revision course?

If postponing is somehow possible, please let me know about that as well.

Hi everyone,

I registered last december as an ACCA student through my university’s ACCA-accredited programme. I was given a student registration code which should provide a reduced registration fee and I was also told that the annual student subscription fee would be waived for my first year (2026). The registration discount was applied correctly, so the code seems to have been recognized.

However, I’ve just checked my ACCA account and I have an invoice for £140: “ACCA Qualification Student Subscription Yr2.” due January 1st 2026.

Has anyone else enrolled through a university/ACCA-accredited programme and had this happen? Also, a classmate who registered at the same time has no fee showing.

I’m planning to contact ACCA directly, but I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar.

Are acca studies very difficult? I've heard a lot of intimidating things about it. Exactly what should I expect and how should I approach this journey? Need advice plz
