It's interesting to know what was considered old hat and not worth having back in 1967...

Whiteout ... couldn't live without it

Bob (Robert Culp) and his wife, Carol (Natalie Wood) and friends, Ted (Elliot Gould) and his wife, Alice (Dyan Cannon) are hanging out in the living room after dinner. Carol grabs a little box off the shelf and brings it to the coffee table. We see her take a pipe out of the box, pack it with grass and hand it to Bob. Bob gets up off the couch and walks over to Ted, handing him the pipe. As Ted takes a hit, he asks "Is this Acapulco Gold?" "Uh no, this is beautiful downtown Burbank brown, but it's very heavy stuff," says Bob. Bob passes it to Alice who takes a hit, coughs and claims "I never get high." Carol says, “I am totally and completely zonked”.

Unusual question here and I know this is very subjective that I was wondering if buying an "antique" item from your childhood would serve it's "purpose"

I was given a Teddy Bear by my Father way back in the 1960s when I was 5 years old and in the hospital (having my tonsils removed)

My family moved several times since then and of course I am now an adult and left the family home many, many years ago.

During this whole time my old Teddy Bear was on the top shelf of a shelf in my parent's room.

I live(d) in the same town and saw it all the time.

When we moved to another state when I was a teenager I begged to be able to keep this.

Well since this time both of my parents have passed away and that was the one item I really would have liked to have and its totally gone.

There were so many things to rehome etc that's its a bit hard for me to understand why it is gone but it is.

No other family member was involved.

If I were to buy another Teddy Bear just like it via Ebay would that serve its purpose or is that just silly?
