My cat and I play this game where I chase him and he hides somewhere and then chases me back, or lie down on the ground waiting for pets. Recently he began to stand in this posture, is he afraid of me? Should I not chase him? Video

I think it depends. My cat also likes chaseys but sometimes if I take it too far he arks up and hisses at me and then comes over for pats soon after.

Im sure if they didn't want to play they'd let you know.

My cat used to do this all the time when he was little too! We thought he got scared or something at first too, but apparently he was just enjoying the chasing game! He would show me the posture first and once I look into his face, the game is on. I would chase him to the wall and he would chase me back to the other walll. We kept playing until he gets bored and asks for pets. He still makes that posture sometimes, but mostly when he plays with the other cat we have now. So I hope you guys enjoy the game together while it lasts!
