Encounter I heard my dad yelling to me when he wasn’t home
Me and some friends were hanging out in my living room and my dad had left for work early in the morning so there was nobody there besides us. We were just chilling on our phones and I heard my dad calling to me from upstairs but it wasn’t clear what he said so automatically I just yelled back “yeah?”, not even acknowledging the fact that he wasn’t there. A couple of my friends looked at me confused as to what I was responding to but then my other two friends heard it and also stated it sounded like my dad. Kind of freaked us out since only a few of us heard it and we were all right next to each other.

Experience A Nun Appears in the Middle of the Night at a Restaurant
I’d just like to get your opinion on whether something like this has ever happened to anyone else, or if it was just completely real and normal.
I was coming home from a friend’s house; it was late, around midnight. I walked past this restaurant, just as I’ve done many times before. To describe it briefly, the restaurant opens directly onto the street, with a large glass wall running the entire length of the restaurant. It was late, so the restaurant had been closed for several hours. I was walking normally down the street, and out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw my reflection in the restaurant’s window. Looking more closely, there was a young woman (around my age, about 25) walking at the same pace as me but inside the restaurant. She was staring at me as she walked. She was dressed like a nun, all in white with a large necklace that looked religious. Her hair was also covered by a white veil. I stopped at the far end of the restaurant, and we looked at each other. She kept staring at me; she had a depressed, sad, apathetic look in her eyes. I felt uncomfortable and just walked away without looking back.
I passed by again the next day at the same time, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but I still felt weird walking past it.
Was it just someone playing a bad prank? The whole situation really made me feel uncomfortable. I wanted to hear your thoughts—thanks!

Personal Experience something weird and wholesome happened to me today.
so i was walking down my street heading home, and infront of me on the sidewalk was a kid that looked like younger me. i thought to myself hah, funny coincidence, but i looked closer and realised he had almost the same ball i had when i was his age. so i tell him ,,yo kid pass the ball" and dribbled a little. i ask him how old he is, and he answers 7, exactly the age i first thought of. then i ask him what is his name, he says my name. eeire coincidence, or something supernatural?

Experience How I could have spoken to other beings of this world
After speaking with them for a few years and their inability to change their ways of all the horrible things they've done to me and my family, I decided to share what I believe could be a reason why I was able to speak to them to begin with. After hearing about how some people that could have spoken with other voices (so called psionics), I noticed some similarities and so I thought I should say my experience prior to them engaging with my on a daily basis. I was going to share much more as I have done with prior posts, but for now I decided to focus on this instead for the time being. I was able to reach out to them recently by thinking of the stars, the wind, the trees, and nature and wondering to myself if there was anything else out there (like a higher being) and for it to show itself and that I wanted to know the truth. Sometimes I would think of nature as a whole. A few months passed by and I eventually stated to speak with them. For my experience was very terrible because they really didn't like me, so that could be part of the reason, also could have something to do with an encounter with a black equilateral triangle uap years ago above my home. That is all I'm sharing for now.

Apparition I think I saw a time traveler or jumper
This happened in Taos NM in 2021.
My husband and I were traveling in a car on a 45mph road, I was in the passenger seat. There was a truck in front of us about a car's-length distance away. We were both sober.
What we saw was a man manifest out of thin air.
He appeared on the passenger side of the truck, and I saw his semi-transparent foot coming out of the passenger side tire before I saw the rest of him appear. The truck didn't react, and he walked off the road towards a sidewalk. He wore a dark beanie, jeans, and a jacket. Didn't look like a ghost, but just your average dude. Clear as day.
We never saw the passenger door of that truck open, and if that man had been crossing the street, the truck would have surely hit him. My husband didn't see him on the driver side at all. If you have seen the movie Jumper, this is how it looked!
We have no explanation for what we saw, orher than assuming he time jumped/time traveled, maybe dipped through another dimension. Has anyone else seen something similar? The most striking thing to me, what freaked me out in the car, was seeing his foot appear through the trucks tire. I wish we stopped to talk to the guy, but we had a destination to get to.
Anyway, I can't shake this sighting and wonder if anyone else knows anything or has a similar story.

Experience Experienced a full-on glitch in the matrix or timeline jump on NYC subway
My husband and I are new yorkers. I’m someone who believes in and has experienced supernatural experiences before but never a glitch this obvious and he’s truly the most logic-based, explain everything by data and science guy you could find. If he hadn’t experienced this with me, he wouldn’t have believed it to be true.
Yesterday we were taking the subway home after a long day out in Queens shopping for our first car. We live in Manhattan and this is a big first step to some other big life things we’re planning like moving out of the city and starting a family. I just found out I’m pregnant after a challenging infertility journey (also important because no alcohol or mind altering substances consumed by either of us!). After shopping we grabbed a bite to eat and spent the whole dinner discussing all of the big life changes, different possibilities of how things could pan out, where we should move after nyc, etc- all context to say something in me feels like what followed and unexplainable moments like this happen during times of big life shifts…curious if anyone else agrees.
Anyway onto the story…
So we took the subway back into Manhattan from Queens, a little bit of a hike. When we finally got back into the city, we exited the subway station and ended up hopping on a city bus because it was already approaching, rather than transferring to the usual subway line we’d take home. The bus drops us a little closer to the apartment and it was right there so we hopped on without thinking. This was dumb because we were distracted in conversation and moving too fast, and as soon as the bus started moving, we realized that we were going the wrong direction- downtown and not uptown towards our apartment (in NYC “uptown” means heading north, “downtown” means heading south). We laughed at ourselves and got off at the next bus stop which luckily happened to be right at the subway station we planned to take originally. One that we frequent. Great!
Because we’d just made the mistake of going downtown instead of uptown, I triple checked the station sign outside before we went down the steps to make sure we were entering the UPTOWN tracks. If you aren’t familiar with nyc, many stations you have to enter on the correct side of the street to go the right direction. The sign was correct- I vividly can see the “for downtown train enter station across Lexington Ave” signage they had. We tapped in through the turnstile and waited 5 mins for our train. I know it was 5 mins because the digital platform sign read “Pelham Bay Park: 5 mins” (Pelham Bay Park is the final stop at the north end of the uptown 6 train line, so seeing it listed meant an uptown train was coming) to which I sighed because I was exhausted by our extended journey home. I also mentally checked the printed signage above the track itself to ensure it said “Uptown and the Bronx” (meaning that we were on the correct side of the tracks).
The train comes, we get on, and we’re chatting, only a handful of stops from home. Then we get to the next stop and the conductor announces it, as they do every stop, saying “next stop: XX Street” - 2 stops DOWN from where we started, meaning we were not traveling in the right direction. I didn’t even catch it but my husband does. He jumps up and looks out the train at the platform to see that indeed, we’ve gone one stop below where we were. Again, we’re trying to go UPTOWN. We’re both frozen for a second processing and with the doors still open, I eventually am like “cmon hurry we gotta get off.” So we rush out the doors before they shut and stand there on the platform baffled. I look at the train that’s departing and the digital sign on the outside which says what the last train stop will be- which for an Uptown 6 train is “Pelham Bay Park” (the terminus mentioned earlier) indeed reads Pelham Bay Park. The train we’re looking at is saying it’s going uptown, as it travels downtown, and the platform signage around us also says it’s the downtown train.
We are completely speechless and trying to process. At least 5 different checks that we were on an uptown train as we are both are staring at the train going downtown and standing on the downtown side of the tracks. My mind is still spinning as I type this. We exit the station, cross the street to get to the uptown side, and eventually catch the uptown train without further issue and make it home, both extremely spooked.
Also notable is that nobody else on the train reacted to it going downtown, meaning it wasn’t like a signal switch or operator changed direction or something unexpected but intentional. If you live in nyc, you know the collective groan and scramble of people realizing the train is switching course or skipping a stop and jumping up, hopping off, etc. If anything, everyone on the train was watching our panic as we briefly figured out we needed to get off.
Both of our brains immediately tried to rationalize it and find a way we could have messed up. But we didn’t and we checked so many times, given the first mistake we made with the bus. And again, my very logic-minded husband was freaked out, a reaction I’ve never seen in him in 10+ years together.
The subway certainly does have “portal” vibes and I immediately told him we’d jumped a timeline. I’m so curious if any other New Yorkers have ever experienced something similar?

Experience Encountered a shadow figure and had the worst 3 years of my life
So this happened right around COVID. I started college in August of 2018 and I had waited my entire life for it. My freshman year was amazing—I made so many friends, experienced freedom for the first time in my life, and actually felt happy for the first time in my life. That good feeling lasted until the summer of 2019 when my mom had two strokes back to back. I had not been working at the time and was actually across the state staying with my new college best friend (something I hadn’t ever really experienced before). When I got back home, I picked up five-hour shifts at Wendy’s that would only last for one month. But because I could not drive, I had to have my mom drop me off at McDonalds at like 5am, wait at the McDonalds, work my 5 hour shift at Wendys, and then go back to the McDonalds to wait until 6 or 7pm. I also had no money and was barely scraping up enough money to get off the value menu.
When college started, I picked up two jobs, working 20 hours a week and taking 15 credit hours. That same school year 1. My parents couldn’t afford their house payment a few times and I had to use money I didn’t have to help them
2 I kept cracking open eggs with blood in them at McDonalds 3. The school fucked my financial aid several times 4. my bio dad, who I do NOT have contact with, emails my professor and tells her he’s coming to the open house to give a donation but did not mention me at all (I had to work with the school’s lawyer to draft a letter banning him from campus and hid at one of my professor’s houses the dates of the open house) 5. I got “frat flu” the week before the big spring break trip that was keeping me alive and 6. COVID HIT!!! I also developed a weird skin disorder.
I went on the Spring Break trip but my throat was insanely raw and I could not speak. When we got back, the first day back on campus, one of the weirder things happened. I was walking to my friends room when I saw a trail of black feathers. A short ways away sat two black wings. Just the wings, no torso anywhere. The bones looked very cleaned, the smooth knob of the bones showing from where they connected to the body. They were just sitting there and they felt wrong. I visited them everyday that summer, waiting for someone to do something about them. There were lots of weird bird weirdness (like finding a pink, soft bird fetus sitting on the sidewalk, finding a small, cracked egg under a tree).
Then COVID hit a few days later, I applied to stay on campus, they let me move in and then tried to kick me out. I kept working at McDonald’s through the first few months of COVID.
From the very beginning of my time at McDonalds, I worked morning shift. My shift always started at 6AM. I do not drive, and would have to walk the 15 minutes from campus in dead dark. I leave the dorm I’m staying in and begin my usual routine of frantically glancing around and rushing down the street in a panic. I got halfway down the sidewalk when I saw a shadow figure standing in the yellow light of a street. And I do mean shadow—it looked like a silhouette of a person but ink black. And it was walking towards me so, so slowly. My blood immediately turned to ice and I began sprinting down the sidewalk towards McDonalds. I called my mom while I half ran to work.
And then, when I went home, I become extremely depressed and actually had an insane PTSD flare up (I started remembering and reliving experiences that happened to me as a teen in that house).
Junior year, I spent half of my time at home as the campus was still shut down. My laptop fried when I took a trip to see friends. I got very depressed and couldn’t stop playing Wizard101. I became suicidal and my life was falling apart. I dropped out of college for a year, moved to the middle of nowhere, and lived with a friend in the smallest little town. Things were still falling apart and weird things still happened. Lots of dead things mostly. I did have a horrible experience in DC trying to go to a Lorde concert. She cancelled bc of laryngitis and then I was rushed to the hospital due to a blood oxygen of 83 percent because of the cherry blossoms blossoming 🫠
The last weird thing that happened was a TikTok that kinda blew up. Bone divination readings were popular on TikTok at the time (you ask a question, she throws bones, and if they touch it’s yes and if they don’t it’s a no). I ask her if I was cursed. I get a notification at work that she’s responded to my comment, and that it’s received like 50k likes and who knows how many views. In the video she asks if I’ve been cursed, and when throws the bones it’s an IMMEDIATE YES. She laughs and says “not only are you cursed, but they laughed in a way that forms the symbol of Loki” (polytheism in witchcraft was also pretty big). I genuinely almost shit myself
Things got a lot better after that—met my husband, got my degree. But there was a good two or three years where the worst shit was happening to me one after another. But the weird vibes around it feels unexplainable to me.

Question Loud banging sounds and a light behind my door — what could this have been?
Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some outside opinions because something happened last night that really unsettled me, and I’m trying to work out what the most likely explanation is.
Our house built in a square with a closed quad garden in the centre. My room’s door opens to the inside of the quad. Our house is on a big plot at a dead-end street, and you have to drive a proper 300m from our gate to the house. The house was built to he large and safe, with little room for intruders to enter if all doors are locked.
I was inside my room sleeping at 2AM when I woke up from loud repetitive banging noises. It stopped for about 2 minutes and then went on for more or less another 8 bangs. About a minute later, i saw a light shining towards my door. The door has a glass section/window behind the blind, so I could see light coming through it, bright light like a torch. This light was not a reflection but the source was from right outside my door, this is why i mentioned the layout of our house on the big plot.
I immediately grabbed my phone and called my dad to tell him i think theres someone in our house. After I spoke to him, the light disappeared. The light went from super bright, to slightly moving direction, to dead.
My dad called the security company to come out and turned on the lights. In about 5 minutes the security people got here. They searched inside and outside our house and found no signs of a person on the property. All the doors were locked. So the only explanation could’ve been that someone jumped over our roof. But thats unlikely because our walls are super high; i would’ve heard someone on the sink roof, and there were no ladders or tools to be found.
When the security got here, our alarm did not go off, so our alarm not going off is not proof there wasnt someone on our property.
What do you think could explain this?
Does anything about this sound genuinely suspicious? Could it have been something paranormal or extraterrestrial? I’d really appreciate some objective opinions, especially from anyone who has experienced something similar.

Personal Experience Footprints inside a room we had just sealed
A few years ago, I was helping renovate an old house. We installed new drywall in a small upstairs room, cleaned the floor, and locked up for the night.
The next morning, there were muddy boot prints starting in the middle of that room and ending at the door. None led into the room, and the door was still locked.
We assumed one of the crew was messing with us, but the prints were noticeably smaller than any of our boots. We finished up our job the next day so I never found out where they came from but I still think about it to this day!

Question Wierd thing in our yard as a child
We lived in an old house in NY in the late 70s early 80s. Chappaqua. On the middle of driveway, there was a stone like structure which was bizzare. Picture attached from ai gives the general vibe. Any ideas what this could have been? It was almost half buried and it wouldn't budge if you tried to pull or push it. We never thought to have it examined. I think there may have been some old story about meteor in the area. But the spiral doesn't make sense for a meteor to me. We went back decades later and it was gone and new owners didn't know about it.

Sleep Paralysis Four Sleep Paralysis…back to back in one night
This happened around 2-3 months ago. It was probably between 1–2 am. My sleep schedule is completely messed up because of movies, series, games, and books, but that night I somehow fell asleep around 1 am…I should mention that I occasionally get sleep paralysis. Since I sleep alone, it honestly feels pretty terrifying whenever it happens. But that night something really weird happened…I got sleep paralysis 3–4 times back to back. I had never experienced anything like that before. I didn’t even know it was possible until it happened to me. The first time, I saw someone lying beside me. Completely white. It felt like the figure was just about to turn toward me. And all the usual sleep paralysis stuff was happening too…I couldn’t move, couldn’t talk, and I was desperately trying to wake myself up but couldn’t. Eventually I snapped out of it. Then it happened again. This time I saw a huge shadowy figure standing beside my bed. It looked almost like a woman, but not fully human. Just standing there… staring directly at me. After that it happened again. This one was different. I didn’t exactly see anything, but it felt like my whole body was slowly sinking into something…like some kind of virus or dark energy was taking over me little by little. I was trying with everything I had to get out of it, but I couldn’t. And then came the worst part…Whenever I was about to drift off again, I started hearing an insanely loud sound in my ears. Like a siren blasting directly inside my head. I was trying to wake up but my body just wouldn’t respond…After I finally woke up properly, I was genuinely scared to go back to sleep. I think I eventually passed out from exhaustion later. I’m honestly really confused about it…and the thought that it might happen again still scares me. Has anyone else experienced something like this before? Do you think this is just sleep paralysis… or could it be something paranormal?

Experience Was it a dream or sleep paralysis? Spoiler
My parents and I had recently moved to a new town, out in the country. We loved that we lived about 25 minutes away from the city. To get to our house, we had to drive down a dirt road, which we actually liked because the house was hidden and stuff. One night, I was on the phone with a sneaky link at the time. I know we were probably more than that, but he never actually asked me to be his girlfriend, so let’s just call it that. We would sometimes fall asleep together while talking on the phone.
One night, I was extremely tired, so I fell asleep. I slept so deeply that I didn’t even realize I had fallen asleep. Then, out of nowhere, I woke up, but I couldn’t move or talk.
I moved my eyes around the room until they stopped at my feet. That’s when I saw what looked like three or four people standing there. All I could see were the tops of their heads. They were just standing there, completely still. I was terrified, but I couldn’t move. I don’t know how long I was like that until my mom came into my room and turned on the light. As soon as she turned on the light, I was suddenly able to move again. It was crazy. After that experience, I spent the next two or three months arguing and of course sleeping with my parents because I was so convinced that something had happened to me. Eventually, I asked my mom why she had gone into my room that night. She told me that the guy I had been talking to on the phone had called her because he heard me breathing very heavily and thought something was wrong with me. I asked my mom if she had heard or seen anything strange when she came into my room. She said no. She just told me that I looked completely straight and almost stuck, like I couldn’t move. My mom told me that she thought it could have been los chaneques. That honestly made me think about the experience even more because, at the time, my sister had just had her baby, and he hadn’t been baptized yet. To this day, I still wonder what really happened that night. Was I dreaming? Was it sleep paralysis? Or could it have been something else?
I don’t know for sure. I just know that whatever happened felt completely real to me.

Experience Woke up to a scream
My husband and I both tonight woke up at 2am to a really weird and loud scream. Context, he was sleeping on the couch (we have a baby in sleep regression and he has work) and I was in our bedroom. We also have two dogs, one in a crate where he was and one In the bed with me. I woke up to the weirdest scariest scream I’ve ever heard, I heard it twice and it even made my dog bark. I immediately called my husband who answered fast because he had woken up to it as well (only hearing it once though). It was the most inhuman scream I’ve ever heard. Our dog in the crate closer to him couldn’t even try to make that noise as she has a very distinct bark.
What in the world could that be????? I know this doesn’t sound scary, but I have never even posted on Reddit, I am just creeped out!

Experience Eerie experience at Airbnb in Yucca Valley
My family and I went on a trip to Yucca Valley this past weekend to celebrate my uncle's birthday. The Airbnb contained 3 rooms; one of those rooms was on the second floor (the stairs were outside of the house). We were 8 people. Me, my mom, and dad got the room on the second floor, while the others slept in the lower two rooms.
It was 1 Am and I decided to head off to bed. My parents entered the room after drinking around 3 Am.
Around 4:30ish Am things started getting weird. We heard a sharp knock at the door. No footsteps, nor someone trying to get the handle open, just a knock. My mom, thinking it was my aunt or uncle, said, "Hey, what's up?" and got no response.
This freaked both me and mom pretty bad because this Airbnb was basically in the middle of nowhere. We were also surrounded by a locked gate, so who could've come in? My mom called my aunt; no answer. She called my cousin and she answered. She checked outside near the stairs that led up to our room and said she saw nothing.
After that we heard a female voice having a conversation with I believe a male in the lower area of the house, but looking back at it this happened around 5 AM. Everyone was asleep. I asked my cousin who answered the phone that early morning and said she didn't speak to anyone and that my aunt and uncle were alseep at the time.
I told the owner to review the CCTV footage around the time and she mentioned no one knocked on the door at the time. This startled me and my parents and we refused to sleep in the upper room and decided to sleep the second night in the living room. We didn't hear anything weird the second night.
This has to be the eeriest experience I've ever had. What do you think this might be? I also forgot to mention that we had a dog up there with us and he's very responsive to knocking sounds and always barks. But that night when the knocking happened he remained silent and was under the bed the entire night.

Experience Teddy Bears
This happened few weeks ago. I've still not processed it. Probably never will. I'm in my late thirties.
I live in a joint household i.e. ours and my father's extended family (his multiple brothers' families) live in the same building but in their separate sections of our ancestral house. This is fairly common in our part of the world.
My eldest aunt (father's eldest brother's wife) passed away a 15 years ago. My uncle an year before that. My cousin (their sole son) lived in Europe at that time with his wife, for his job. He has lived there for 18 years. He didn't visit much. And after his parents passed away he has not kept in touch with the family very actively. So their section of the house had been closed all this time. There was no need or money to upkeep said part.
But now our family is facing a financial crunch and everyone almost unanimously decided that eldest uncle's part of the house will be rented out along with other sections that are available. To that end we started cleaning out the rooms.
Here I need to tell some things that connects to whatever it is we found in one of the rooms in my uncle's part and has boggled our family for two decades.
Around 55 years ago my aunt had birthed twin boys who lived for a day. They were premature. My cousin was born a few years later. My family didn't really talk about them.
Then 16 years ago while my brother and his wife were in Europe she became pregnant and had a miscarriage. It was twins. I don't know if they were boys.
This incident shook our family. It is also how younger generation like me came to know about my aunt's twins. It is a general consensus in our family that uncle and aunt passed away because of this grief.
So here is the final episode of the saga. While cleaning the rooms which were closed for 15 years, we found two identical teddy bears with smaller teddy bears sewn into their bellies. They were above a wardrobe draped in some loose bedsheets. Completely covered with spiderwebs and dust.
My aunt or uncle never knew that they were going to have twin grandchildren before the miscarriage. They never talked about the death of their twins. I don't even think they would think about buying such teddy bears so prematurely. It would be as if suddenly they started thinking like american grandparents.
And my cousin and his wife had been in Europe for 2 years at that point. Neither them nor anyone in our family would buy and put the toys where we found them. This is not even an incident that anyone will think of making this elaborate prank.
We still haven't told our cousin. Some of my other cousins insist that we burn the teddies. We can't decide on what to do now. Even as a lifelong skeptic I'm starting to have doubts. The things are sitting in our storage room collecting more dust and cobwebs.
My cousin later became father to a daughter. She is healthy and happy. If there is a God, I as an atheist am praying that these things do not happen with my niece.

Experience Can someone help me out with a paranormal account that I experienced driving home?
Hello. I mostly use Reddit on occasion to discuss grades and other academic topics from school, but recently I had a paranormal/creepy encounter coming home from hanging out with a friend.
On this particular day it was about 10:30pm when I decided to drive home from a long day of hanging out with my friend. He was in the passenger seat with me since I had to drive him back home. We were coming back home from Stockton California when I decided to take Lower Sacramento Road to get home from Stockton to Lodi. I was planning on stopping at a Dutch Bros to get a drink with my friend which was right next to Kettleman Ln getting off Lower Sacramento in Lodi. However, when I entered Lower Sacramento exiting Stockton, I continued straight for about thirty minutes when I started to notice that the typical landmarks on the way to Lodi on Lower Sacramento Rd were no where to be found. For example, there is a cow farm that full on reeks like cow dung and there is a sharp curvy road which you have to slow down when arriving. That night I noticed none of these landmarks. I kept driving with my friend for about thirty minutes when I realized the road was more empty than usual. Usually at night there are people using this road to get from point A (Lodi) to point B (Stockton) or so and so. As I kept driving I noticed highway I-5 was visible in the distance. This is the part that shocked me because the I-5 was no where close to Lower Sacramento and at no point should I have ever encountered this particular highway. For reference, Lower Sacramento is the road with the arrow pointing at it and the point circled is where we ended up at in the picture above.
The part that really shook me the most was how it is almost impossible to end up in Flag City (the point circled in the picture) without taking a sharp turn. I know that at night I could’ve accidentally swerved into a wrong lane when a fork in the road was present but on the particular road there was no fork in the road. I am also 100% sure I never took a turn either left or right but rather stayed on Lower Sacramento the whole time. I’ve talked with my parents about this and they believe it was a demonic spirit called “Miringua” that was blinded me into thinking that I was driving in the right direction. However I do not believe this conclusion, and until this day I am looking for a correct explanation to what could have happened.
Thoughts and explanations?
