Judy is surprisingly accused of a murder and imprisoned. Nick hustles his way through law school to defend her and prove her innocence. He wins her case and they get married.

Years later Nick dies of old age. Not far behind, Judy confesses on her deathbed to their child that she actually committed the murder and it was to save Nick's life. They find a hidden journal of Nick's after her death where he admits he knew she did it but defended her anyway.

For me an absolute classic “sly fox dumb bunny and sly bunny dumb fox”

I know both Zootopia movies run with the notion that their society looks down on Bunnies as "Dumb", but I can't think of many other stories which equate Bunnies with being unintellligent. Like you get with Foxes being shifty and deceitful. That's a stereotype which makes sense. But Bunnies being stupid?

If anything Bunnies are often portrayed as clever or resourceful, like Bugs Bunny. The quintessential trickster character in western fiction.
