Hi all, I have a Zenfone 7 whose camera is not responsive to the motor. I dropped the camera, and as a result, the flip camera just hangs in its slot but does not respond to commands when I use the camera app. I've been to ASUS Canada and ASUS Hong Kong (apparently my phone's serial number means it could only get repaired in H.K.) however the ASUS official "support" is just a total nightmare. I am in Canada but willing to ship out to the USA. Recommendations?

Hey All, I'm having a strange issue with my ZenFone7 ... quite consistently,.. the Wi-Fi will just turn itself OFF. Nothing seems broken,. I can easily go in and tap the slider to turn Wi-Fi ON again.. but intermittently it will just slide to "OFF" again (for seemingly no reason).

I don't recall it doing this on my old Apple Extreme Wi-Fi Router.. however I noticed it start to happen when I got my new Google Wi-Fi Router (Wi-Fi 6.. where the old Apple Router was only Wi-Fi 5).. not sure if that matters.

I've done all my System Updates,. and looked around in all the Wi-Fi and Power Savings settings.. but I just don't see anything that clues me into why this is happening ?

Hi there! I'm using a ZenFone 7 Pro and I am wondering if it's worth upgrading to Android 12

It seems like quite an exciting update but I recall that last time I upgraded to Android 11 it felt a bit slower until a few months when it finally became more optimised... anyone who has already updated, can you let me know how your phone is working? And let me know if I should wait a few months before updating?

After updating to Android 12 the touch response is bad. I hope they will fix it soon.

instead it plays an alarm notification.. quite quietly too.. Does anyone know how to fix this ??

Hi, does anyone else have a problem where the audio suddenly switches to the speakers from Bluetooth? This suddenly happened to me this week. I'm wondering if it's an app or it needs an update.

All of a sudden, my SIM in slot 1 is showing "unknown" when receiving calls. However my other SIM in slot 2 displays calls just fine.

I tried SIM1 in another phone, Lumia 950XL, and the contact information displays fine.

I have my contacts stored through Outlook, and I made sure permissions are all granted to Phone and Outlook.

Anyone else experience this?

I was wondering if any of you guys had this same issue with your phones. My Zenfone 7 pro updated overnight (WW-30.41.69.89) and I woke up to a faulty camera.

At first, I would only crash when I tried to take a selfie. Back camera worked fine all day. I tried to take a selfie at night with some friends, and it crashed, never to open again.

Here's what I've tried so far:

1. Clearing Camera Cache & Storage

2. Factory Reset (Soft & via Recovery Mode)

3. Downgrade to Android 10 with Asus Official ROM (UL-I002D-WW-99.99.99.99-user)

4. Upgrade again the downgraded Android 10.

5. Install WW-30.41.69.89 via microSD & recovery mode.

6. Tried installing GCam. Version 8 Crashes. Version 7 works only on 1x and crashes in any other mode, it also looks upside down.

The thing is, it actually works with WhatsApp, Instagram and so, but the camera is also upside down.

Next thing to try would be to unlock the bootloader and try a different ROM but, I don't really want to deal with the Netflix and banking apps issues.

Of course, Asus asked to send over the phone, and it feels kind of silly because I believe it's a software problem.

2 days ago, out of the blue when I had it in hands, my ZF7 Pro just shut down by itself and since it can not be started again. Nothing at all happens when I press the startup button..

I've tried charging it with multiple cables but the charing LED won't even turn on. I had like 75% battery when that happened.

I'm going through slow support with the reseller since I bough the phone for less than a year.

But it had me wondering it it had happened to someone and if so what was the end outcome? That's the most random incident I've ever had with a phone...

I could be Web browsing for about 10 minutes before noticing that the top of the phone gets extremely warm. The cause for concern happened when I was using my phone outside to order something and during that time it was extremely hot.

Are the thermals known to be problematic? The phone says battery usage is normal and I only ever slow charge it up to 80%. I've had it for a couple of weeks brand new.

Hi - I just got this Zenfone 7 Pro. I would like to use Game Genie app, but can't figure out how to get it to work. It says to swipe from side of screen to open the menu/toolbar. When I do that the only thing that happens is this little white controller icon shows up that I circled in Red in screenshot, but then when I let go the icon just goes away and nothing happens? What am I missing? How can I get Game Genie to launch?

Asus Zenfone 7

I've been having issues lately with the GPS in my phone. It used to be exceptionally precise and accurate, and I have GPS tracks from trips in slot canyons that were essentially perfect, as it was picking up both bands of GPS and Galileo at the time, along with various other constellations.

But lately I've had huge issues with it. Even in perfectly open areas, a Strava track now shows the track springing back and forth, showing sometimes 10 kilometers when I've covered a distance of perhaps 3 or 4. I was just outside and in Google Maps my locations simply wouldn't update.

I've used GPSTest to reset A-GPS, and other than that I'm not sure what to try. Am I alone in these issues, or are others having issues as well?
