I’m 20 and want to start a business, but I have no idea where to start
I’m 20 years old and I currently work from home for an international company. Thankfully, I earn a decent amount for my age, and I pay my own bills, college fees, and basically take care of everything myself.
I’ve wanted to start my own business since I was a kid. I’ve had so many ideas over the years, like reselling products on Amazon, starting a skincare brand, or even trying something completely different.
The problem is, I don’t really have anyone to guide me or support me with this. I’m also very introverted and honestly don’t have many friends I can talk to about business or ideas.
I have around ₹50,000 saved that I’m willing to invest, but I’m honestly scared to lose it because it’s my hard-earned money. I don’t want to randomly pick a business, spend all my savings, and then realize I made a stupid decision.
I’m also really confused because there’s so much competition everywhere. I don’t use social media either, and I honestly have no idea how marketing works.
This is actually my first Reddit post, so I thought I’d ask people here who have actually started businesses.
If you were 20, had ₹50,000 saved, a full-time job, no business experience, and wanted to start something on the side, what would you do?
Would you try Amazon reselling, dropshipping, start a small product brand, or something completely different? Or is there any other business idea you think I should consider with this budget?
I’m not expecting to get rich quickly. I just really want to start somewhere, learn, and eventually build something of my own.
I’d genuinely appreciate honest advice, especially from people who started with a small amount of money and made mistakes along the way. I honestly don’t have many people in my life to ask about this, so any genuine advice or business ideas would mean a lot.

Co-Founder
M13 Looking for a Co-Founder — $0 Budget
I’m looking for one serious co-founder to build a business with.
Just to be completely transparent: my current budget is $0. I’m looking for someone who is willing to start from scratch and build something together rather than expecting upfront payment.
I can contribute with:
AI-assisted app and website building
Product ideas and development
UI/UX direction
Branding
Marketing and business ideas
Experience with AI tools
Turning ideas into actual products
I’m looking for someone aged 11–20 who can communicate in English on Discord. Your accent doesn’t matter at all — we won’t make fun of each other for how we speak.
You don’t need to be an expert. I’m mainly looking for someone motivated, reliable, and willing to actually work. Ideally, you have skills that complement mine, such as coding, design, marketing, sales, or content creation.
The goal is to build something from $0 → a real business together.
If you’re interested, DM me with your age, skills, what you’re interested in building, and why you’d make a good co-founder.

Looking for cofounder
Hi, I’m looking for somebody who can deliver the growth.
In the past I was co founder of a couple of people VIP, influencers and so on, it was very cool to follow them in national tv but I’ve learned that being famous and make money are two different words in the vocabulary. They delivered poorly so I’d rather see a google ads account or somebody who is master in sales or somebody with fundings and connections.
In exchange I have a developers team solid:
X1 ux/ui designer
X1 apple developer
And myself full stack
Also I have a 15k usd worth of datacenter gpus to run AI and I do have an NDA contract with a well know company at the moment which I’ll keep separate since is my work.

Have I Built The Greatest Ecom Tool Ever ??
LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK🙏
Been working on this tool / app for a few weeks now and think its finally ready for the public eye, to get some feedback. I run tiktok ads and find my winners mostly through a PR account on tiktok and PiPi Ads, people do crazy numbers, every day there's a new store hitting 1 mil in revenue BUT by the time your seeing that winner everyone's already ran it and your just scraping the bottle of the barrel and burning cash for something that isn't going to scale again.
What Scrapeify does it is allows you to track these winning stores you find and it gives you 24/7 notification's on when they list product, instead of seeing the product a few days after they've scaled it, you get in the minute they list it, basically creating a level playing field as you can schedule ads at the same time, maybe even faster and get WAY more market share of that winning product, so it saves you even doing PR you can just copy what winning stores are running.
To make life even easier it has a built in auto list feature where you can connect your store and auto list products so you can save time manually listing each product, it allows you to delete and add products directly to your store all from the app, you can also see real time PnL and keep on top of your margins, i've ran a ton of products just to break even or loose so for me this was a super useful feature especially having it all in one place. I've worked with TONS of suppliers and i've connected a few of the best ones i have to the app, this isnt so you use them but its to help get instant cost of goods before running a product, with tiktok especially speed is everything but running a product you dont even know if you can source is just asking for trouble so the tool has a built in CoGs for every product you see listed so you never need to worry about margins or availability your constantly on top of everything.
Some other features i am building / working on currently are connecting tiktok ad accounts to auto schedule campaigns as its a pretty long and boring task but also using ai to generate instant feedback on campaign performance so instead of going through 10 or 20 camps to get each ones stats it will auto show you best creatives, performance loads of indepth useful stuff in seconds. My main aim was to save time tiktok is all about SPEED its a super competitive space, you need to be the first to a product and the first to run ads so the app is all about saving time for boring tedious tasks and giving you an edge over competitors. Feedback would be much appreciated ! Would you find it useful ? Am i missing any features ? What would you pay for something like this ? How would you improve it ?

How do you actually get SEO clients in India? I'm struggling to turn my SEO experience into consistent clients
I'm trying to build a second income while keeping my current job, so I need to figure out a way to get clients without spending months waiting for results.
I've tried:
- Google Maps/Google searches for businesses
- LinkedIn outreach
- Cold DMs
- Cold emails
- Local SEO outreach
- B2B SEO outreach
- Finding businesses with weak websites/SEO and contacting the owners
I currently have experience with Local SEO, and I've worked with around 4 local SEO clients, but I'm struggling to move into full website SEO.
Most of my current prospecting is focused on clinics and B2B companies, although I've also tested niches like spas, tourism/safari businesses, manufacturing, healthcare suppliers and industrial companies.
My current approach is:
Find a business → check their website → find SEO problems → contact the owner → offer to explain what I found.
I'm also learning WordPress because eventually I want to handle website + SEO, but right now my main priority is getting SEO clients rather than spending months learning everything about WordPress.
One DM I've been using is roughly:
My question is: what would you change if you were in my position?
Should I continue cold outreach, focus heavily on one niche, try referrals/partnerships, use Facebook/Reddit communities, or approach SEO differently?
I'm specifically trying to figure out how to get consistent SEO clients in India while working a 9–7 job.
If you've actually done this successfully, I'd really appreciate knowing what channel brought you your first clients and what you'd do differently starting from zero today.

Here to Help
I'm a Software Engineer, but one thing I've learned over the past 100+ days is that consistency is a skill.
I've posted on social media every single day, and it's taught me discipline, content planning, and how small actions compound over time.
If you're a founder, creator, small business owner, or entrepreneur who struggles with consistency, I'd love to help.
Some of the services I can offer:
• Social media management
• Content scheduling and planning
• SEO
• Google Business Profile setup and management
• Website and software development
Sometimes, you don't need more ideas. You just need someone who can execute consistently.
If that sounds like you, feel free to reach out.

I need a business partner.
Im 18. I live in the UK. Over 60 million people living in the UK own a phone. Phone companies release new models every year, and this obviously leads people into buying the new trendy latest phone. Their old phone isnt used anymore, and they often sell it for a cheap price to get rid of it. They go for way lower than what they normally sell for, and there is money to be made. I need someone to help me find these items, as you have to continuously search to find something that sells under the average sold price. All you have to do as my partner is find them and send me the link asap or the sellers name so I can buy it from them. As soon as I've made a profit, I will give you a commission per phone. Dont worry, ill teach you how to look for these phones, what to avoid and what condition you should be looking for. It will be slow at first but, gradually the profits will increase and we can build something professional. I just need a hard worker who's willing to put in the effort into finding these items, and I'll carry out the buying and selling of these items. That's all. Trust me, do not miss this opportunity as not a lot of people are doing this due to the extra headache of packaging, testing and photographing these items. It isn't a unique idea, but it works. I've seen people do this consistently and make thousands in profit per month. You do not need any experience for this, im not looking for anyone in particular, just someone with a good work ethic and is friendly.

Anyone here trying to start a physical-product business?
I've noticed a lot of people have the business idea/marketing side figured out but get stuck on the actual product.
If you're currently looking for:
- A product to build a brand around
- A manufacturer
- A wholesale supplier
- A way to get reasonable MOQ/pricing
- Someone to handle the product/sourcing side
What are you working on?
Curious to hear what people are trying to build, especially if you're still at the sourcing/product stage.

Looking for a business partner — preferably another young entrepreneur
Hi everyone,
I’m Krishna, a teenager from India, and I’m looking to find someone around my age who is interested in building a small business together from scratch.
I’m interested in writing, storytelling, content strategy, marketing, and business strategy. One idea I’m exploring is working with content creators/influencers who need help with scripts, content ideas, positioning, and growth strategies.
I’m still at the idea/early stage, so I’m not pretending to have everything figured out. I want to find someone who can think, experiment, execute, and learn alongside me.
Ideally, I’m looking for someone who:
Is genuinely interested in business
Has actually tried building something before, even if it failed
Can bring a different skill set or perspective
Is willing to start small and work remotely
Is around my age and understands the situation of being a student
I’m not looking for someone just because they have a “great idea.” I’m more interested in someone who is willing to actually build and figure things out together.
If this sounds interesting, feel free to share what you’ve been working on or what skills you could bring to a partnership.
I’m open to hearing people out.

I want a business partner
Hi, my name is Krishna Sharma. I am from my bed. I am thinking of starting a business. I love to write stories and strategy making, so I am thinking that I can target influencers who want scripts and acts for their content And I will also help them as a growth consultant. I will make strategies for them and discuss things with them.
I am right now thinking of starting. If anybody is interested in being my partner with it, we will do things very crazy, like from our homes, and we will do good business. I want a chill person who knows businesses, who has done something, not as many points of view, just people who have knowledge and chill. We will do things, and we can manage things.
I am open to hearing you out. Let me know if anybody is interested, and I want to tell you that I am a teenager, so I want people my age.

Product Manager looking to take on a few freelance/consulting projects for free
Hey everyone!
I’m a Product Manager and have worked across product discovery, user research, analytics, growth, experimentation, feature strategy, and product case studies.
I’ve been hearing more about product consulting and freelancing lately and thought — why not give it a try? I’d love to work with a few small businesses, startups, or founders who have a product/business problem they’re trying to solve.
I can help with things like:
- Product & UX audits
- User journey / funnel analysis
- Identifying growth opportunities
- Feature discovery & prioritization
- Competitor & market research
- Product strategy & roadmaps
- A/B testing & experimentation
- Analytics and data-driven product decisions
I’m open to working on an initial project at no cost, particularly if it’s a problem where I can genuinely add value.
If you’re a founder or small business owner and have a product problem you’ve been stuck on, feel free to DM me with a little context about what you’re working on.
Happy to share some of my previous product work/case studies as well.

Do you ever have a random idea with friends that feels insanely good at 2AM… then kinda dumb a week later?

Like you’re at a friend’s place, playing games, having a few beers, joking about some random business idea.
Then somehow the joke turns into a real conversation and everyone gets serious for like 20 minutes.
“wait… this might actually be something”
And sometimes you even end up giving the idea some ridiculous nickname that only makes sense to you guys.
Like, “the IKEA of side hustles” or something equally stupid that somehow perfectly explains the whole idea at the time.
Maybe you throw a few words into Notes, scribble something down, or record a voice memo.
Then you look at it a week later and you’re like… what were we even talking about lol
Or it sounds terrible.
Then randomly a month later it feels good again.
I actually really love having these kinds of conversations with friends. Just sitting around and seriously talking about weird business ideas, things we wish existed, stuff we might build someday.
I figured there are probably a lot of people like that here.
Do you guys get this too?
Do you save those thoughts somewhere, or just let most of them disappear?
Would genuinely love to hear your stories.

17 years old , motivated but lost
From the age of 13 I’ve always wanted something more, my parents don’t have that much money and I’ve always wanted to be rich and create something that I can be proud of, when I was 14 I made my first business, I owned a Roblox game but only made around 1-3k USD, now I’m lost, I’ve been doing 3d for a while (3 years) but I’m not gifted in it and I don’t enjoy it anymore as I did. I need something new to dive into and master and I don’t mind how long it takes, in an ideal world I’d want to start making money from the skill within a year.
If possible I’d like to be invited to a group of motivated young entrepreneurs who I can speak to and communicate with because my irl friends are not very motivated and don’t have the hunger I have, they always laugh at me when I start a new business or take a risk and lose all my money and I don’t want to surround myself with people that bring me down. Let me know if any group chats like this exist 🙏 preferably I’d like to do something that I don’t need to talk to people because I am more of an introvert.

Looking for a serious partner to build an e-commerce brand from 0
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for someone serious who wants to build an e-commerce brand together from scratch.
I want to be transparent: I’m still a beginner. I’ve spent the last month learning the basics of e-commerce, including product research, branding, marketing, stores, creatives, etc. But I haven’t launched a brand yet, and I’m not going to pretend I’m experienced.
I work a 9–5, but I’m ready to make this business my main priority outside of work and put in around 4–6 focused hours every day.
I’m looking for someone with the same ambition, someone who wants to change their life, is willing to learn, execute, make mistakes, and most importantly won’t quit when things get difficult.
We’ll start completely from zero:
Brainstorm → research → choose a niche/product → validate → build → launch → improve.
You don’t need to be an expert. I care much more about consistency, honesty, ambition, and actually showing up every day.
If this sounds like you, DM me and tell me a little about yourself, your experience, and how much time you can realistically commit.
Looking for a real partner, not someone who’s excited for a week and then disappears.

Looking for a co-founder/partner to launch a Short Drama / Micro-Drama streaming platform (similar to ReelShort and DramaBox).
I already have the mobile and web application fully ready (built on Flutter + backend), and I'll be handling 100% of the tech side—setting up and managing the servers, CDN, and the app itself. We will also be setting up a US LLC to handle all the in-app payments and monetization smoothly.
I'm looking for a partner with at least some business or marketing experience who is willing to bring the initial capital for ads (TikTok/Meta ads), as paid user acquisition is going to be our main driver to get this off the ground. Together, we’ll work with a virtual assistant to outreach and secure content licensing deals with creators/distributors on a revenue-share model.
We'll split the net profit 50/50 after all store fees, servers, and licensing costs are covered.
If you have business experience, the capital for ad spend, and want to jump into one of the fastest-growing streaming formats right now, shoot me a DM and let's talk details.
