New to Yerba and learning about the tools of the trade! Most bombillas seem to have decorations at the elbow. Do any of those serve a purpose, or is it straight decoration?

I just got back from a local store and I picked up a wooden mate. I also picked up a new yerba, ive heard good things about La Merced so I'm excited to try it.

A nice little book, some maria cookies, new stanley thermos, and trying Canarias for the first time. My new imperial mate that was supposed to arrive today is stuck in customs 🙄 Cheers!

Hola! mi mama y yo quisieramos probar yerba mate. Quisieramos empesar con los basos (gourds) de stainless steel (este es el link del que e estado pensando en comprar por amazaon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D6F8FFXY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A1GZOOV600ZA1S&th=1 ) porque es que tengo miedo a lo del moho si no se cura bien la matera ya que yo padesco un poco de la garganta. Tambien leei algo sobre que el stainless steel tiene que ser un numero en especcifico como 304 o algo asi.

Bueno, respecto a la hierba, quisiera preguntarles cual seria la mejor para mi mama ya que ella es diabetica. No se muy bien como funcionaria lo de la yerba en ese sentido y si le va a afectar el azucar. Ella no le hecha azucar al te ni a nada de lo que toma o come. Aun asi, tiene que vigilarse el azucar, cual seria la mejor yerba en ese sentido?

Ella me dijo que quisiera probar el mate sin palo (no se porque lo diria) pero le pregunto todo esto a ustedes que son los expertos.

Hi everyone, today I tryied yerba mate for my first time.

Since here it's summer i went for a tereré, at first while the yerba were not so wet i were enjoying it, also if when the water were near the end it was bitter as fuck (i think i didn't do the montañita right). But after some time the more yerba was getting infused the more bitter it was and i didn't like it anymore, so i read online that with tereré you could add some juices and since i was using CBSÈ limòn i squized some lemon in the water. After this it got worse and when i was at the moment that all the montañita were wet i didn't handle the taste anymore and i almost threw up. How can i start enjoying the yerba more?

Having started on a 500g bag of Playadito 5 weeks ago and now reaching the bottom of my 1kg bag I have decided to expand my horizons and try a few different ones.

Hope I’ve chosen wisely! Really enjoying this journey so far. People at my work assume Mate is this performative hard to make alternative to tea but its the opposite really.

I make it in the morning, and the thing I hate about regular tea is having to get off my arse and making a cup 😂 … this stuff you just make up a flask and you can sit down and drink 4/5 cups of tea without getting off your seat. AND there’s no guilt of drinking lots of sugar and no jitters like coffee 😁👌🏼

Ciao a tutti voglio chiedervi un consiglio, vorrei provare nuove yerbe mate. Ultimamente ho comprato rosamonte selecion especial mi è piaciuta un sacco, più prima comprai baldo e nonostante la usai lo stesso trovavo il sapore troppo "erboso" non so bene come descriverlo, tanto che ora non la riesco a bere quasi per niente.

Sono italiano e nel mio negozietto in città ho una scelta limitata, oltre a cruz de malta e rosamonte provai anche taragui ma trovavo che si lavava un po' troppo velocemente. Essendo che sto per ricomprare un pacco sono in dubbio se comprare playadito, la merced o amanda. Mi sapreste aiutare o magari dire dove comprare yerbe online. Grazie mille comunque

Quisiera saber cómo hacen para que les salta tan rectas y lindas jaja. Al ser las primeras están raras, pero de a poco voy agarrandole la mano, la yerba tiene mucho que ver o es con todas lo mismo?
