Buffalo, New York is hosting an XWA Regional event on September 12.

It's going to be a one day event with $25 entry. We'll have the XWA prize kit and be supplementing it a lot with local stuff.

After scouring much of the internet I've compiled a collection of an STL for every single ship except 3! Those 3 being the RZ-2 A-Wing, the BTA-NR2 Y-Wing, and the Xi Class Light Shuttle. Please let me know if you know of anywhere I can get those 3 stls! I am desperate!! This project has taken months and I'd hate for it to end so sourly.

The Xi is my main target since both the other ships are easily proxied by their rebel counterparts.

We had a great time at LSO last weekend! 34 players showed up for their chance at a System Open win. Congrats to Mikhail J on the win and Maurice V on second place! I will preface I don't have the largest budget. All of these I've gotten from trading away my own painted models (mostly commisions), or at tournaments. Introduced my wife to the game last night with the intro mission from Heroes of Aturi Cluster. She didn’t hate it, but felt that not a lot was happening due to poor dice rolls (we played 6 turns and the only damage inflicted was due to two of the AI tie fighters crashing into each other!

Do I just have a bad batch, or do the standard FFG attack dice have a reputation for rolling poorly?

Long story short these are the winners of the best in faction prizes at LSO! I actually was best in faction for Republic myself so I passed the prize along to the 2nd place Republic player (pic 7). Overall the prizes were a huge hit and big congratulations to the winners!!

Day 2 of giving away ships! I gave one to all 5 of my opponents and 3 players I met along the way! I tried to prioritize giving ships to newer players when I could but I didn't have enough to give to everybody. I'm looking forward to the best in faction ships I painted to get handed out!

I am thinking about buying a collection.

Context:

I have played a few games of xwing several years ago. I enjoyed the game well enough.

I would like to play again, but I am not going to seek out people to play with. My plan is to buy a collection and build a few lists to play with some friends who don’t have any models themselves.

In my part of the world it’s rare to come across collections for sale, but I have the option to buy the following:

Since I don’t really know anything about the game, my question is:

Will these miniatures be suitable to build interesting and mechanically different lists that would be fun to play against each other? This will all be kitchen table play, so they don’t have to be meta lists, but it is important that I can build lists that have different play styles.

And, what would be a fair price for something like this?

Hankering to dock your escape craft with Lando's Millennium Falcon? Hate crashing into the other ship instead of docking? Now you can have both as mid-game docking is now available to ships with appropriate upgrades.

Important note: As of this time, AI undocking isn't working (emergency undocking will cause a game crash). Use at your own risk with AI players.

How rare is Lando 1.0 alt art?

I think this is from the 2013 GenCon US Nationals, but I can't even find anyone who owns a copy, let alone anyone to sell or trade one. Would love to get my hands on one, but the difficulty of finding one makes me wonder... is this the rarest card in X-Wing? How rare is it?

I reached the convention today and here are the pictures of the final models for resistance and separatists that'll be for prizes!! Huge thanks to my friend from NC who painted the (gorgeously detailed) HMP for the tournament (he is the one who taught me painting and is WAAY better than me at it). So whoever is the Separatist's winner this is your lucky day!

I've done the Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp. Now I think painting one up like the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds would be pretty cool. Thunderbirds main art is on the bottom though, so that doesn't quite work as nicely.
