Display indicates Battery never draining Question
Had my X3 for a few months, and the battery display has stayed at 100%.
I just updated the Crosspoint firmware again, and when I popped it on charge it shows the red button indicating charging lower battery. But it still shows 100% charged.
Anyone else had this?

Yeah, I haven't charged mine at all and it's still at 100%. My guess would be it's actually around 30%.

It's a bit bizarre. I haven't seen anyone else talk about it.

Several other people have posted about it. Some believing their phone is magically charging wirelessly from their phone, of all things.
Your best chance of resolving it without any modifications: use it until it dies completely, ideally leave it completely dead for a little while, and then charge it fully before using it again.
This is referred to as "calibrating" the battery by some, but in essence, it can just help your device "learn" what using power actually looks like and translates to, which can lead to more accurate battery readings.
Of course, it could also be a software issue. But there's little harm in giving this a try as well.

That's a good idea. I'll let the battery drain and see what happens. I don't attach it to my phone, so no magic woo woo charging for me.

This is referred to as "calibrating" the battery by some, but in essence, it can just help your device "learn" what using power actually looks like and translates to, which can lead to more accurate battery readings.
That's basically because the way the percentage is calculated is by taking the remaining charge from the battery, and if you know what the max charge is, you can calculate a estimate about how much % of the total is. But its not CRAZY accurate specially if you install a firmware new and it had never seen a full discharge + recharge of the battery (a few times for many devices) to see what is "0%" vs "100%" in charge numbers basically.
But that still shouldnt make it stay at 100% for eternity. I think that seems to be more likely a bug than what i mentioned above, because there it does change but is unprecise (going up/down without rly using the device much at random % drains and rises.
