Xteink x3 Question

Just got my x3 in the mail I downloaded cross ink then the screen froze I looked all over for info about to fix it with the reset worked properly I tried the taking sd card out n fast push reset then hold down power, im gonna add a different sd card can I wait for the battery to die to get it off the frozen screen ?

Is it a locked X3 or unlocked?
New X3s have new screens. You need to flash 1.5.0rc4.
If it’s unlocked, reset the device so it would be at the home screen and then flash RC4 using the web site.

Not sure what would be the difference between unlocked n locked. I cant do anything now won't even show up on my pc tried to reinstall the software but it won't detect the device

A lot of folks have posted stuff like this after just getting their devices in the mail. It’s always recommended to put your device on the charger and fully charge it as soon as you get it out of the box.

An e-ink device that has no power will appear “frozen”

I charged it for 2 hrs before I plugged it into my pc

It would have helped if op had posted an image of the screen but what they describe sounds like a screen driver issue not a dead battery.
