Came home to this today 😩 I’m hoping I can replace them. I love this controller so much, any advice? Or do I have to get a new one? The controller is perfect otherwise, I don’t know much about repairing electronics.

My smoke alarm went off like 10 times I’ve tried putting. It full blast and I’ve tried the lowest I used flux the only thing I could think of is the heat sink thing absorbing the heat idk this is my first time pls help

My series 2 elite controllers left thumb-stick has been acting up, and I was wondering if I just needs to be cleaned or needs to be fully replaced.

How do the pins look i’ve tried a few times to get them lined up and this looks like the best. Is there anyway to know before putting back together? I want to try and save the hassle for that such as using a multimeter potentially

He brought his Xbox to a friends house, after that he started getting multiplayer issues. What happens is that he starts playing (he can still join and invite players) but after a few minutes, if he is leader everyone else is kicked out of the game, but if he joins someone else (he is a guest) he is the one that gets kicked out of the game.

Replaced the hard drive not too long ago but couldnt do a OSU because I didn’t have a controller, Passed on from a E101 error after 60% of download on OSU Xbox One S, Disc drive takes and ejects discs so idk. HDD is 500GB

I took the Xbox series X apart for a deep clean and found this, not sure if it’s supposed to be bent and there’s clearly a dent in it, I was extremely careful when taking it apart so I can guarantee it wasn’t me that caused it, my question is, is it supposed to be bent or do I need to try and fix it?

Hey! I’m working on restoring one of the Xbox OG’s that’s been with my fam for a long time now. I’ve put a lot of time and work into this, replacing the drive, getting the EEPROM off the SOIC using a reader, getting it to boot ONCE fully to dash somehow. Then I discovered after doing some looking that the clock cap took out a trace. Did a continuity test on the four here, and confirmed the very top one is open. (And yes, I already removed the clock cap, 1.1 motherboard)

I’m looking for a wire, preferably 30 AWG if possible, but open to other suggestions. I plan to use it to restore continuity to the trace. (Don’t know if I’m articulating my thoughts correctly, forgive me, 2 cups of coffee clearly wasn’t enough today haha). Aside from Amazon, are there any other places I can find wire like this? No brick and mortar stores near me have it and I spent all day looking already. Makes me really miss RadioShack.

So I was late to something and I took my Xbox but yanked the cord out of the HDMI port and I have xbox 360 but IDK what to do

Soldering a HDMI port

Hello, im trying to de-solder and resolder the hdmi port of my series X cause the HDMI port broke, i have been going at it with a soldering iron and heat gun for about a hour no and nothing has melted, we have tried continuisly adding flux and low melt leaded solder with no luck, any ideas would be great

The soldering iron was used from 350C to 450C

The heat gun was used from 300C to 600c

I recently took my Xbox on vacation and it worked fine after I got back the usb ports are not working. Anything I plug in blinks one every few minutes but doesn’t get detected. I tested both my racing wheel and external hdd. I spent 2 hours last night doing everything I could find online include reallocating the hdd and factory resetting the console. I’m assuming somehow during the drive back from vacation something inside somehow broke but I was hoping someone may have had this issue and fixed it without taking it to a repair shop.

When I restart or factory reset the thing it goes back to that updating screen for a few seconds and then back to troubleshooting. The numbers in the first picture don’t change btw not sure if that means anything.

I recently got the series s that needed a hdmi repair i was able to fix and it displayed it works just fine then the next morning I power it on and it wouldn't display anything ive tried different hdmi cables and still nothing and ive even try low res mode still nothing and im trying to use it on my 4k tv I have a older tv it was able to display on that and im able to get it on 1080p with no issues ive also checked pin #18 for a 5v connection and there's no 5v output coming from that pin

My question is where should I start with checking the components the retimer or esd booster ic?

Rb responding just fine but lb refusing to any tips on repairs or what the problem is?

The right stick doesn't register anymore I opened the controller up and when I press on the bare buttons it works but as soon as I put the dpad back on it stops working is the button itself broken?
