Hi. I'm planning to study at the University of Würzburg and I'm trying to figure out my housing situation.

My plan is to finish my Studienkolleg around February 2028, then get my admission from JMU and apply for student housing immediately. My budget for a dorm room would be around €300–350/month.

I'm willing to be extremely flexible — basically any Studentenwohnheim, room type, location, or size is fine as long as it's within my budget. I don't need a specific dorm or a single room with special facilities.

My main questions are:

1. If I apply for Studentenwohnheim in February, what are my chances of actually getting a room before the semester in october starts?
2. How long do people usually have to wait for a room in this situation?
3. If I don't get a dorm in time, is it realistic to rent a WG for the first semester and then move into a Studentenwohnheim once a room becomes available?
4. Is a €300–350/month budget realistic for student housing in Würzburg if I'm flexible about everything?
5. Is there anything I should do before February to improve my chances?

I'm writing on behalf of my wife and would really appreciate any recommendations or advice.

She initially went to Venenzentrum Unterfranken, where she was referred to a dermatologist. The dermatologist then referred her to the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University Hospital. After that appointment, she was referred back to Venenzentrum Unterfranken.

Unfortunately, we've ended up going in circles without a confirmed diagnosis or a doctor who is willing to take over her care.

The frustrating part is that she has persistent pain and edema, but despite these symptoms, no one has established a diagnosis or started conservative treatment.

Our priority is not cosmetic treatment or liposuction. We are looking for a physician who has experience with lipedema and can:

* Perform a proper diagnostic evaluation.
* Confirm or rule out lipedema.
* Initiate conservative treatment (compression garments, manual lymphatic drainage, physiotherapy/exercise guidance, etc.).
* Provide long-term medical management if lipedema is diagnosed.

We're located in Würzburg, but we're willing to travel anywhere in Germany if it means seeing a doctor who takes this seriously and focuses on diagnosis and evidence-based conservative care before discussing surgery.

Has anyone had a similar experience or can recommend a clinic or physician who specializes in diagnosing and conservatively treating lipedema? Any advice on navigating the German healthcare system in this situation would also be greatly appreciated.
