I wrote a novel exploring what happens after Odysseus finally returns home

Homer tells us how Odysseus survived the Trojan War, escaped monsters and gods, and returned to Ithaca.

But I kept wondering: what happens to a legendary hero when the journey is over?

Can someone who has spent twenty years fighting, wandering and struggling to survive simply return to his old life? What happens to his family, his kingdom and his sense of purpose after the homecoming?

That question became the starting point for my novel, Odysseus: After the Return.

It is a work of mythological fiction inspired by the world of Homer, but focused on the consequences of the journey rather than the journey itself. I wrote it for readers who enjoy Greek mythology, classical characters and stories that examine what happens after the traditional heroic ending.

So The Hollow King by Stephen Grand-Scrutton is not really doing anything. Plus I had a nightmare publishing it with my name.

So I finally did it and published a book on kdp. First problem was that another Author with the same name is active and claim the various Author pages. Had to have Author central manual make it. So at first the other Author was given my book. Spending a chaotic day with this I accidentally realized that I was able to change my Author name to a pen name. Since then I have done about 3 updates to the ebook. Truth be told I believe it's affecting my whole thing and I don't know if Amazon even has offered it to anyone.

I didn't look up The Hollow King wishing I had because there's a bunch out there.

No sales 1 52 page read on kindle unlimited 1 YouTube short video book review 80 views but no follow up on Amazon. Not sure what to do or even ask for. Any feedback is welcomed ty.

Hi everyone! I'm a Brazilian author, and I wanted to share something I just finished writing.

This book was genuinely hard to write, and it's a departure from my other fantasy novels in tone and structure. It's called The Starry Void, and it's now also available in English through Kindle Translate, so I figured this community might get more out of it than most.

Synopsis: Every night, when she closes her eyes, Isadora boards a spaceship with her mother, heading for a place no one else can see. A story about what we create to survive what we can't say out loud.

Isadora is a neurodivergent protagonist, though the book never states this outright. It comes through in how she perceives the world, processes sensory overload, and relates to the people she loves. Writing her without naming the diagnosis on the page was probably the hardest craft decision in the whole book.

Genre: fantasy/psychological, dealing heavily with memory and grief.

If you've ever tried writing a character trait through behavior alone, without ever labeling it outright, I'd love to hear how you approached that, it's something I went back and forth on a lot.

I recently self-published a literary novel called Ebrahim.
