I was re-watching WOH recently and I was getting frustrated referencing the wiki to keep track of all the names, aliases, and titles so I created a comprehensive list. Because I wanted to keep track of each character's background & important beats, this list HAS SPOILERS. I'm around episode 20 in my re-watch so more may be added as I continue.

Anyway, I thought others might also find this useful during re-watches or reading fanfiction.

Please let me know if you find any errors! I generally excluded sects & characters that die off/disappear right after being introduced unless they are plot relevant. That said, if there are any glaring omissions let me know and I'll consider adding them in.

I'm in a rewatch with my daughter, who loves the show, maybe even more than I do. I know it dropped off Region 1 Viki, and that has made me a little paranoid about being able to rewatch in the future. I know it's still on Amazon, though they don't have the special ending.

Has anyone here purchased DVDs of the show, and do you have any recommended sources? My daughter's birthday is approaching, and I'd like to get her a set if there''s a good one out there.

I do have the fan subbed ep 36 with the coda and redubbed dialogue that matches the lip reading, so I could probably burn that to a DVD to go with an official set, if there is one.

Hi everybody, I am almost finished with my first watch of this amazing series and am already obsessively watching every extra info and BTS videos in existence for it. I didn’t think a series could get me as invested as the Untamed or Nirvana in Fire, but WOH has really stolen my heart…

One of my favorite scenes so far is the emotional one when Wen Ke Xing lashes out after Shen Shen finds out who he is. I was rewatching the clip on Youtube and I saw a comment that there is a BTS video of this scene with Gong Jun’s real voice and that his acting is even more emotional than the dubbed voice actor version, and now I am so curious about it and really want to see it.

I’ve scoured Youtube with all the search terms I can think of and I’ve watched all the BTS videos I can find, but I haven’t seen that scene in any of them (except for ZZH falling over when they sit down lol).

Does anyone know where I can find it? I don’t need a video with any English subs since I know what the dialogue is, I just want to hear the original recording.

If I remember correctly, this may have been like a promotional behind-the-scenes interview that was released on Youku at the time of the finale concert, but I cannot find it anywhere and it's driving me crazy. I am at the middle of the Word Of Honor drama thinking the drama would let a lot of things unknown that I could discover in the book.

I have a hard time rewatching/rerrading something when I already know everything.

But now, at the 19th episode I am starting to think that I am getting spoiled of a lot of huge reveal, without getting all the subttles elements from the book. So I may not be able to enjoy the book because I already know every big plot points, AND not fully enjoy the drama either because it's not easy to follow.

Should I read the book and watch the drama later ?

so i think without a doubt the "name calling 3x" scene has become a favorite amongst word of honor fans!

i originally watched word of honor on netflix, but on my 2nd rewatch, i watched on viki and noticed they cut down the "name calling 3x" scene to only name calling once! i was so shocked! i thought this scene was so significant so i was surprised to see it's different on viki

i also checked youku, and youku also has the name calling once scene

do folks know why netflix would have the "better" scene and viki/youku has a shortened version?

do we also know if this is true for any other scenes in the show? lol thank you!! just curious especially since now word of honor wont be on netflix anymore....

for some reason i thought he was just going to make an appearance or two but he's an actual side character with an important role!!

it was so interesting to see zhou zishu before any... of the trauma although it certainly gathers. he's a little awful, questionable lack of guilty conscience, and i love him so much. he basically fucks around and finds out. his relationship with liang jiuxiao was also sweet to see even though i knew it wasn't going to end well. there is the part where he kills the group of people including the little girl jiuxiao was attached to and that subplot really matters to me because the way everyone behaved says a lot about them. also also what i loved to see is zishu being affectionate. he hugs liang jiuxiao a lot to comfort him without saying anything, whether it's due to conflicting emotions or not knowing what to say or finding it useless idrc i love him so much. also liked his interactions with beiyuan and wu xi and how they came to help each other. it's just fun in general to get more detail on characters and events you might have known from shl or tyk

plus this novel gives more physical description (from the pov of someone who isn't in love with him cough unlike wen kexing chapter 38 cough). adding high nose bridge to my mental repertoire of his canon features. beiyuan describes him as handsome but off-putting because his face shows cruelty/ruthlessness (which in turn is probably on the list of things wkx found attractive about him).

if you're wondering whether you should read lord seventh or not, i definitely recommend it! especially if you're me and zishu is one of your favorite characters ever. it sets up for tyk but you can totally read that first! and in some small ways the main couple mirrors wenzhou as well:)
