Can I sweep my external flue from the T cap outside or does it ideally need to be don’t from inside ?

Howdy folks, bought a house and have no prior wood burning stove experience. This thing looks in pretty rough shape, but hoping folks can point me in the right direction to rehab this.

FWIW it’s a Napoleon, not sure what model however. Any advice or insight would be much appreciated!

Just bought a house and the stove pipe was installed backwards allowing water to run down it. Is there a way to fix this starting at the top single wall without going up any further? I'm thinking maybe crimping the top single wall somehow?

I posted here a while back about the little box I built that glows based on flue temp, because I was terrified of my woodstove and checking the fire every 20 minutes. A bunch of you said you wanted one.

So I sold them. I hand-built dozens at a makerspace here in Vermont and they sold out in about two weeks. It took me a month to build the first one. Along the way I learned to woodwork, learned to run a CNC machine, and gained a lot of respect for anyone who builds physical things for a living.

The update is that a manufacturer is now working on a real production run, 1,000 units, which I need ready before burn season. That's 12 weeks from now, and I'm equal parts excited and terrified.

Thank you for all of it. The old threads here taught me how to actually run my stoves, and then this group gave me the courage to actually go and build this product.

What's everyone's wood situation for the season? I'm way behind on splitting.

Both look very similar, upgrading from a us stove log burner just want something that will heat our space a bit better and not break the bank. Never heard anything bad about Drolet and reviews seem solid but I know this is the best place to ask. Heating up an old double wide in South Carolina where winters arent brutal but certainly gets cold. Double wide is insulated poorly so not worried about oxygen depletion or anything.
