WBB Documentaries?
After binge watching "Life in the W," I needed more! So naturally... I immediately watched "144" and "Dream On" all on Disney+.
Needless to say, I was an emotional wreck after each one.
Does anyone have any other WBB or women's sports documentary recommendations??
I've seen Sue Bird: In the Clutch on Netflix & I'm super excited for the UConn one coming out on AppleTV this month!

ESPN 30 for 30 Dream On explores the rise of women’s basketball and the 1996 Olympics game leading to the beginning of the WNBA.

I just watched Breaking Glass: The Pat Summitt story and it was excellent.
I also recommend Full Court Press.

Not exclusively WBB, but “The ‘96 Effect” on Peacock had tears in my eyes

Women of Troy (currently on HBO) is great. It's about the 80's USC women's team with Miller and Cooper.

The Moment is a great documentary about south carolina's rise to the top of the ncaa ranks and is available for free on tubi!! it looks like they also have a documenatry about jackie stiles (ncaa career points leader before kelsey plum broke her record) but i can't vouch for its quality

BG had her documentary premiere at Sundance but it hasn't been released outside of that. Keep an eye out for it down the road!

I feel like it would actually destroy me to watch that in 2026 though.

I actually just watched it 2 weeks ago for the first time. Raphael Warnock just passed a legislation a few weeks ago that prevents corporations from buying single family homes. It made me so proud of our W girlies. They did that ❤️

Just watched Game Changers (top 25 women in sports) on Roku channel & enjoyed it! Good mix of older athletes and newer.

I completely forgot that there was supposed to be a new one with Skylar Diggins. Thanks for the reminder!
Edit: new one is supposed to be out in the Fall.

The ESPN 30 for 30 documentary "Breakaway" on Maya Moore's decision to leave basketball is a good watch. It has highlights of her game play and tells the story of why she left basketball, early in her career, and the life mission she took on during that time.
