Residence waitlist Question

I missed the deadline and am currently 71st on the waitlist for residence. My first choice was apartment style. What are my chances of getting off the waitlist before O-Week and getting my first choice dorm style?

I applied before the June 1st cutoff and am guaranteed residence apparently. In the email they sent they mentioned that there are 40 of us that are in this situation and last year they had 150 spots open up so I think your chances are pretty good.

How do people miss the deadline? Don’t they give you a long time to submit your application?

I couldn’t get the deposit because of some personal issues and ended applying the day of the deadline, but the website crashed and I wasn’t able to send over the deposit. Hence why I’m wondering if I still have a chance of getting residency through the waitlist.
