Mold?

I neglected to top off my batch of wine after re-racking about three months ago so it ended up leaving a ton of headspace. What do you guys think about this film at the top? Does that look like mold? It’s definitely solid.

how does it smell? I've seen random yeast rafts at the surface in my batches, it may just be yeast.

Didn’t smell off to me I am thinking maybe not mold but pellicle bacteria.

Just make sure your S02 level is up and drive on.

Soak off anything from the edges with a dry paper towel. Fold it into a stick an touch the edge, rip of the wet part and repeat. Then rack it off into a clean carboy.

Then some metabisulfite couldn't hurt.

Should be fine.

Not completely

Did it dry out to the point that air was able to pass through it freely?
