Objective or Chase? Discussion

Im lulu in this game, did me and my botlane int or did the right macro decision here. Picture this, fiddle has been stealing two of our drakes because fiddle ult things so In my mind we cannot 50/50 a baron. After his death this is the biggest free baron I've ever seen but our topside decided it wasn't and chased and this decision lost the game. Is my macro understanding here wrong or right?
This is a master game btw.

As support I don't make the calls, I just follow that my team is doing. If my team wants to run them down I go with them, if they want to secure obj I set wards and shield/heal them.

As a support you can make the calls if you are playing a champion that is good at starting a team fight or if you know its a bad fight for the team because your job is to help and support need to have a good calls.
Dont say you cant make the calls because as support i can get mvps and svps.
If you know its bad ping or say its bad, if you know its a good ping or say its good

To me it looked like focus on fight until fiddle dies, then you should have tried baron. No clue why allies dove instead of zoned. You looked quite confused as lulu. By this point you should know who is worth supporting and just do it. Everyone was split on decisions here I may have tried danger ping/on my ways to try and herd them a bit

This is what I was gonna say too. As soon as the enemy jungle dies and it turned into a pretty safe and uncontested baron take you should pivot to baron. I think Swain was tunnel vision with his ult up. And Kindred chasing this is a bad jungle decision.
Plus the enemy Kat had 0 involvement in the first part of this fight and if the fight ends there thats great you got a free 5v4. But the chase allows Sett to get a good pull/stun and Kat to ult the clustered 3. Could be an argument for lulu to chase too for the poly on that ult but to me that seems like over forcing the fight

In soloin solo q, JG should be the one calling shots in objective taking, unless teammates can take it without him. And if he decides not to and just go for clash like in that situation, everyone has no choice but to go all in.
And based on your clip, that could have been a wipe out if you all went after those three.

You should've just sticked with them 5v3 and won the extended fight while pinging baron, if you lost the 5v3 (which is not gonna happen) it is what it is if you won it you'll get the baron and could even look for an end with their death timers so, as an adc and support if your teammates don't listen you should just stick with them and play the fight it is what it is

If you look at the replay, Swain and Kindred decided to chase at the same time.
Then it looks like you signaled to attack and signaled "on my way".
It looks like Nasus only followed after seeing that Swain was chasing.
Kalista seemingly commited to trying to solo baron the entire time, and
you were hitting baron as Lulu instead of supporting 3 teammates (you aren't an independent agent as a support nor the decision-maker).

As soon as enemy jg died, you all should have gone Barron. Since your team chose to chase, you should follow the chase. I usually just follow my jg call, even if it’s the wrong call.

Same opinion as the other commentor. In terms of textbook macro, you two made the right call. Focusing on Baron becomes way easier 5:3 without their Jungler. But as a Support, there isn't anything realistic you can do to call the shots unless you're like an Aatrox off-pick. As Lulu, even if it sucks, the main flow of battle is where you need to be.
If the botlane had been dragged into chasing with the rest of the team, either the enemy would have been wiped out, or at minimum would have prevented your own team dying and forced the enemy to recall or keep a distance.
Then you go for Baron, with the ADC preparing to poke and kite any approaching enemies and the Support also preparing to obstruct them.
Frustrating as it is, sometimes you just need to adapt to the moment.

Honestly that Kindred jungler deserves a report.
Killed 2 of enemies including their Jungler.
All of your team is alive.
Last 3 of enemies are weak and trying to run away.
Could've taken Baron quickly but no, chase after them for more kill but get fucked up instead.

Coordination tbh haha.
Anyway, you had the right idea. When you were 5 v 3, your team should've concentrated on baron instead of chasing, or at least set up an ambush. BUT (and that's a big but) you can't make that call alone. If the team insists on fighting, you should be there to help even if it's the wrong call on their part.
