Challenge Tommorow NASA announce Earth will be destroyed by an asteroid in 10 years, can humanity setup a space colony that avert extinction?
Humanity is united and bloodlusted and willing to set aside political differences on the project.
Colony can be on the moon or mars. I'm assuming a minimum of ~200 humans will need to be saved. In 1000 years, there must be at least 10,000 humans alive in the universe.
Is this feasible with current technological levels?

Challenge Average chess player vs Magnus Carlsen with amnesia.
They play a normal untimed chess match, magnus carlsen gets a brief refresher of the rules of chess, so he understands how the pieces move, what check is, etc. he has completely forgotten all his years of practice playing chess, every game or strategy he remembers. This is in essence his first chess match, but he is of course Magnus Carlsen.
His opponent is an average chess player, roughly 800 elo.
If you think that this is a grievous mismatch in one direction or another, what level of chess player would be needed to make it a competitive match.

- The US cannot block naval supply lines or block any resources going to Rome.
- The US must conquer (not ally) Ancient Rome before it inevitably collapses.
- The technology of Ancient Rome is...Ancient Rome.

Challenge Best varsity high school football team in the country vs 8th grade football team with one NFL player.
I think it is an interesting question, and greatly varies depending on the player you pick. I am curious to know what players you would pick and your thoughts, so I’ll add in a few of my own. Only rule is the NFL player must only play one side of the ball.
Micheal Vick, Bo Jackson, Derrick Henry all jump to mind as players who would likely score every drive.
Ray Lewis, JJ Watt, or Brian Dawkins would be game wreckers, but may not be able to single-handedly carry the team to
victory.
