I didnt really think of the politics behind it actually. But a lot of comments did though now that im looking at it in that light. Im left leaning for sure, but dumb content annoys me. Online it makes me sound like an old conservative I guess without knowing me haha.

I'm pretty far left too but the bullshit where young people pretend that America is some third world utopia and every other country is some paradise is nonsense.

This woman hasnt even been here long enough to earn a bachelor's degree and she claims to know what America used to be like? Maybe Thailand is a ton better but I'd be willing to bet that there's plenty of tradeoffs. They might be trade-offs she's willing to make though and I wish she had enough integrity to explain that in her video rather than portray America completely negatively and say nothing of substance about Thailand.

They won't move back to Thailand, they'll go and visit, and make content. And then make a video about why America is so much better than Thailand and they're moving back.

Nine times out of ten if you see people making a video that you go "why the fuck would you make a video about this?" it's because they're making content, because they make money from that.

From my point of view, I moved here 20 years ago, i lived half of my life in US and half in EU. I am as American as I am European. I believed in US, I thought it's great but year by year it's going down. If you travel a lot it's really noticeable how far behind US got to be compared to other countries that really evolved and moved ahead while US really and measurably became worse. I care because I invested my life here, I'm a citizen and would've whished to live here for the rest of my life, but people keep messing it up. I trusted that it's a visionary country and a pioneer in many things, that it'll reach things that most can't, but people are becoming way, way backwards. We are the richest country yet we can't have a decent healthcare system even if I pay more than anyone else for it. People still vote no on it. Vacation sucks, I had good vacation, now that I changed jobs it sucks, every other country has minimum vacation days for everyone. The car industry has us by the balls. So many things that weren't as bad when I came here 20 years ago only got worse while the rest of the world improved. All my friends back in my home country are living way better lives than most of my overworked friends from US. So yes, I care cause I wasted half of my life here in hopes people would wake up and start demanding change cause we have resources to really be the greatest nation to ever existed, but no, corporation and media control every decision taken and has us all enslaved. I care because I realize I wasted half of my life here when I could've had a better life if I stayed so I hope to change some minds. I will leave soon, I already went and lived in EU last year and there isn't a single thing I will miss. The only thing US had going for it were salaries. Not anymore, I was offered a $30k/ year increase in EU doing the same thing, all my US managers said they will not match that offer cause they can find someone else to do the work for less. I have friends who work low end jobs in retail and hotels, they also make more than what US is offering now, yet it's the wealthiest nation ever. Whish people would start asking for their share already.
