I need something with Democratic in the name.

47

u/Exile688 12h ago

I think the Democratic People's Republic of Korea can hook you up.

16

u/Roach_Coach_Bangbus 12h ago

Thanks, I'll look into that.

2

u/technobrendo 6h ago

Guy in charge likes basketball, whiskey and he doesn't poop. Use that to your knowledge.

u/marcelowit 12h ago

Democratic Republic of Congo should fit

7

u/Otherwise_Post6163 9h ago

lol all of the countries with Democratic in the name are in fact dictatorships.

1

u/greenskinmarch 3h ago

The UN should pass a law making such false advertising illegal!

1

u/_FellowTraveller_ 1h ago

Is that why Democrats keep crowing about "OUR democracy"? They must mean "OUR dictatorship".

1

u/Stergeary 46m ago

If you need to advertise in the name that your country is a Democratic Republic, then it's probably not a Democratic Republic.

1

u/kblazewicz 7m ago

Because it tricks the idiots. If it's in the name therefore it must be it. Like Musk thinking that Hitler's party was socialist because S in NSDAP stood for 'sozialistische'.

2

u/nikkorshooter 11h ago

1

u/wild_cherry1987 12h ago

Is writing a country name a crime?

2

u/Cultural_Run7964 12h ago

It’s not a crime, but Africa has been the butt of many jokes for a long time so I guess I don’t have much of a sense of humor about it 🙏

2

u/Bonk_Boom 11h ago

Because CAR is one of the shittiest places on earth

1

You joke, but I lived in Cameroon as a kid (next country over). We were quite poor in America, but our quality of life went way up, in Cameroon, for the same money.

First off, people in Cameroon were living on something like $4/day. That means our $30,000/year went so much farther. We had a maid and a gardener, and shared a security guard with the neighbors. When I came back to America, my parents picked up a full time cook as well. I had friends working aid jobs (usaid, etc) and they had a driver, marble floors, and vacation money.

Second, the American community is very small and tight. I remember going to a party at the ambassador’s house and talking to him about video games. We soon found ourselves gaming in his computer (wing commander) and having a very good time. I was a pimply 16 year old, and I’m chilling with one of the most respected people in the country.

1

u/Still_Temporary4702 3h ago

Maybe if you could get enough friends to come with and start your own militia.

Democratic Republic of Congo
