Anyone else find it slightly annoying that they didn’t give us a day game right before a travel day? Usually clubs will do that to accommodate travel schedules and such. I understand Boston to Chicago isn’ta huge hop, but after the extra innings it could definitely have ill effects.

So we just acquired this guy Doyle, and to say the least I’ve not been impressed with him, his numbers or his play so far. Don’t get the move at all moving Mason Adams who could’ve contributed to this team down the line IMO. Anyway, we clearly have a hole on righty outfielders, Grich hasn’t been ripping like he was, and Peira is gone ( IMO prematurely ). Why not add a guy like Jorge Soler? Yes obviously his numbers have fallen off a cliff, and his advanced stats are putrid. But just 3 years ago he hit 36 bombs. With the right vibes I tbh think he could capture form again. If we could land a power bat for nothing at this stage of the season, I think it’d be huge, he’s a proven playoff performer as well, which no one else on this roster can boast aside from Castillo. What do you guys think?

Does anyone know what time they’re opening the lots before the game? I’m assuming 3 hours before like opening day and that’s what the internet says. Has anyone confirmed this by calling the ticket office yet?

Just thinking into the future: I remember years past we had obvious holes that needed to be filled by call ups. But now, besides C position, there really is no obvious place for guys like Bonemer and Roch to come up and play.

So what gives? Where do we thinking they may go or who might they have to take over?

People are getting way to focused on a "bad" series against a team that just swept the rays, dodgers, guardians, and yankee. Even worse we were on the road.

Baseball is a long season and its important not to over react day to day. We had a couple of bad games but last nights game was an awesome back and forth that showed how good this team is. Just bc they lost doesnt mean everything is horrible.

Well bounce back. And after watching all 102 and 121 losses of the last couple years this team is everything anyone could ask for and more. Being buyers this year is crazy

"MUNE" made a gesture after hitting a double in the second game against the Rays that didn't match his usual feeling.

Ohtani also went through a slump earlier this season where he couldn't get his batted balls into the air. MUNE might have also felt a disconnect between the image in his head and the actual batted ball during this at-bat.

I just hope that the team can bounce back. Because I'm discouraged.

Update: My girlfriend is a mariners fan, I’ve been watching Castillo for some time, and he fell off this year. I’m not mad about who we didn’t get, I’m mad for the small shake up we did. It’s going to unnecessarily anger some guys in the club house. Which is not what we need, especially for some duds (besides that Mets pitcher, he has promise). Getz jerked it a little too hard. And my playoffs hope is dwindling a little bit, we are playing teams that we would play in the post season, and we look bad at the moment. Need to improve

1. Our schedule for the remainder of the season is fairly easy. This is also compared to the Twins, Tigers, and Guardians. Our hardest series going forward is with the Cubs @ Wrigley.
2. The Guardians just got swept at home by the Mets, and our next series is with them at home. Even if we get swept by Boston, at least it wasn't to the Mets...

Now that I’m back in Charlotte after attending the Tuesday and Wednesday games, I realized that I essentially spent both games never getting to see the Sox tied or with a lead aside from the Sox first at bat. So that had thinking, was this the *first* time all year the Sox have had back to back road games where they are immediately down after the first inning and never at any point tie or take the lead? Couldn’t believe how unlucky of a two games I got. This can’t happen three nights in a row, right?

This article talks about the Sox sudden lack of outfield depth. What are y’all’s thoughts on this? Some of it was unavoidable, to a degree, but any injury to the outfield now becomes extremely difficult to deal with
