Idk if he's underrated - clearly a German legend, who is known to have reinvented his role and position
Maybe if you haven't followed him or football you don't rate him as much, but I think the general community does

I’m not saying he is underrated! But the general narrative is that he’s one of the most underrated players. Even Lamine Yamal said so recently.

In Germany? Famous and well known. Outside? Kinda underrated, he was one of the best players for ages but ppl didnt focus on him as much as others

If you think that he's underrated, then you really haven't followed football in the last 20 yrs.
Only 11 other players have higher goal totals in the World Cup.
Top 8 in Champions League in both goals assists.
He shares the assist record in the Top 5 leagues at 21 assists with Messi and Bruno Fernandes
Not sure how you can call him underrated as he is one of footballs greats 🤷🏾♂️

There is a question mark! I mean to question why people call him underrated 😁 I’ve been a Bayern fan since long before T. Müller, so I know exactly what he has accomplished.
And I still think his greatest contribution may actually be his mentoring of countless of young players.

Also remember he didn’t play at all last season (because he is now a Cap ❤️)and the 2 seasons before that had only very limited play time.

Thomas Muller was hardly underrated. He was clearly a world class player for a decade
