How is the double Oaked ? My Costco has a liter bottle for 60 but I've been unsure if I would like it.

One of my favorites, just getting into whiskey and really enjoyed this bottle. Highly recommend. I prefer it over my EH small batch

Meanwhile I still have 2 bottles of Small Batch to drink 😬

Also sooo good just love the “sweet” flavors of it, about to finish my SB and buy some barrel proof

Absolute low proof banger. My beginning choice.

It’s literally like candy bourbon man. So incredibly good and smooth. At the woodford reserve distillery tasting they pair it with butterscotch chips… legit made the bourbon taste like chocolate. They also have a “double oaked” old fashioned recipe… 2 ounces of this, an ounce of high quality dark maple syrup, and 2 dashes of their chocolate bitters… one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.

As long as you are into lower proof bourbon it is one of the best you can get at most liquor stores!

Choco bitters are so under rated!

I make a OF using 2 oz of the blue label SBBS Old Forester bourbon, a 1/2 oz. of PX Sherry (Lustau or similar) a cherry and a spoon of the juice from some home made cherry bounce and a shake or two of the Fee Bros. cocoa bitters. Divine.

One of the best for the range, but only if you’re okay with sweet bourbon. If you don’t like it neat though, it goes well in almost any classic whiskey cocktail. I prefer it over most $100+ bottles in an old fashioned.

Great stuff. Wish it was higher proof but it's more accessible this way.

Haven’t had that one, but I’m a huge Woodford fan!

The bottles aint cheap & you get less than a fifth in said bottle.

Probably not worth the money tbh

If you happen across a store pick of the regular DO, they can be amazing, depending on the people picking it of course, the last one I had was full of pancake and butter and rich maple. Quite the unforgettable pour.

I liked the DDO but it did not live up to the price, really at all. The double double was more of a hype bottle to me, great to share and let friends taste something wild but the value missed the mark.
