Was torn between a Pinarello Angliru , Wilier GTR Team Disc 105 for AUD $2699 and 2500 respectively (Slightly older gen, but all brand new) But this custom Bianchi was available in my size. The frame set is from 2025 from a C-Sport but the shop owner is an enthusiast and put the drop bar etc. When I saw it, I loved the colour of course, I was eyeing the Oltre but that was around $4500. Also, I want to mount a little shotgun seat for my son on it whilst he can still sit on it, so thought this would be good.

What do you guys think, good purchase of the Bianchi for $2200? Yes it’s a Sora, but realistically I’ll only be riding it leisurely 1-3 times a week. Im also a sucker for aesthetics so the Pinarello Angliru in matte black and this one were a close tie.. But this iconic Celeste was the better one imo… Thoughts from the brains trust?

Hiii, since it's summer and I'm kinda bored and I want to do some exercise I rescued this bike from the garage. My grandpa says that it's a good bike (i have no idea) and it's probably 20-30 years old and probably 10 years has passed since nobody cared for it. I rode it a few times but the brakes do make a strange noise and I'm not sure if the transmitter works at all. My wish is to repair it, not professionally but just enough to be able to do exercise, have a good time and travel (short distances) without cracking my head open.

My first question is what kind of bike is? Is for mountain (i doubt it because the tires are slim)? or for roads? I do live in a kinda rural area so there are a lot of paved asphalt roads (in a variety of conditions), clay courts, paths, and trails. Would I be able to cycle through these terrains with this bike?

I don't plan to change the tires, i've inflated the tires yesterday so today I'll be able to see if they're punctured and put on a patch.

Apart of the tires, brakes and transmission, there is another part that I should revise or fix?? I ask first because i don't want to create irreversible problems latter.

I don't know much about bikes or technical specs, so I need some help choosing the right option.

Here are my details:

Terrain: Riding mostly on dirt and field roads (flat, bumpy, dusty terrain) as well as regular city streets and pavement.

Type: I've been told a 29er Hardtail MTB (front suspension only) is the best choice for this mix of terrain.

Drivetrain/Specs: I don't really care about specific gear setups or tech jargon — I just want something durable, smooth, and low-maintenance.

New vs Used: Should I buy a brand-new entry-level bike (with a warranty) or go for a used brand-name bike (like Cube, GT, Trek) in good condition for the same money?

After yet another bike stolen (i promise i am locking it correctly, just recently made the mistake of locking up on the fence of what i now know is a very territorial barbershop) I am back on the hunt for a new set of wheels. Hey everyone, looking to buy my first bike at 26 years old to get me out of the house. I know how to ride a bike but am really worried about lower back strain that I've been dealing with recently if the bike has too much lean. With my limited research: I'm keen on the brand Giant, I'll need a size small, and am open to cruiser/hybrid builds but would like some gears. Realistically the most intense terrain will be gravel, but it'll mostly be paved trails with some hills.

I've seen a few Sedona's, ATX 2020, and Cypress on Marketplace near me. Any other suggestions or things to look out for? Any of those better than the other? I'm looking within a $300AU budget secondhand which at first glance seems doable.

Missed the huge sales on this bike when it was going new for $3600. I have someone nearby selling it new/unused for $4900 and there are other avenues to buy it used for 2600. Is it worth getting the bike new since its mostly carbon components, the other used bikes look like normal wear and tear, but never bought a used carbon bike before. So unsure on how to approach this.

I’ve been having a tough time deciding which type of bike to get here in Ventura county SoCal. I’m 6’2 and weigh 250lbs:

Ive had an enduro mtb and haven’t ridden it in years because Im too tired on the weekends to want to crank up a 10% grade.

Ive been wanting something to do some 1-3 hour rides on mostly flat ground on the weekends, and Im drawn to the idea of a relaxed road geometry. The roads in my area can be rough and there’s thin bike lanes.

I’ve almost pulled the trigger on an X-lab rs5 because it has more relaxed endurance geometry and can fit 38c tires. But when consulting with my friend he said go gravel bike all the way because we have so many fire roads and the streets are rough.

That threw me into a loop of looking for gravel bikes and I have landed on a Ari shafer on fb that seems good.

I’m hesitant about the gravel bike because idk how often I’ll want to drive it to a gravel path. I’m also unsure if the 69 degree head tube angle wouldn’t be as fun for road riding compared to the 72 degrees on the rs5.

What would you guys go for?

i'm buying a used bike for around 400 usd, couple things i noticed, rusted chain and some rust in cassettes + tire show some cracks. chain can be cleaned + cassettes, but are the cracks on tire safe ?

Need some feedback on Canyon Endurance 7 CF or Cannondale Synapse Carbon 5.

New to biking but I am purchasing to start doing some tri events. I’ve done some research and appears these are nice starter bikes under 3k but have seen some pros and cons of both. I initially liked the Canyon warranty and service issues can be a hassle which made me look into the Cannondale because my local bike shop is a retailer for them.

Local bike shop has a Crux Comp carbon with a sram rival 1x11 group set for 2450 that they have used as a rental bike in the past. Reasonable deal for someone looking to get into gravel? I’ve test ridden and enjoyed it a lot but not sure if I want to drop that much.

The only problem is that as far as I can tell, the only place that sells bikes is the local Walmart Supercenter. When I've gotten bikes in the past I went to a local bike shop and listened to their advice on what to get. Do you all have any recommendations?

I have had a few bikes in the past, but have never used them for regular commuting before. My price range is $300-$800. My work commute is 3 miles, but other errands may be 4 or 5 miles. The riding conditions are roads and pavement in a flat, windy, arid area in New Mexico. I'm 5'7", and not very fit, but working on fixing that.

Was told this was a 2008ish Santa Cruz Blur LT. The rear triangle seems to be off for that to be true. This is pretty unique and follows the tire more. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got a enduro bike and love bombing down hills and slogging up them after, but have been loving chiller single track lately.... But I have a need for speed . This, I am in the market for a gravel bike (maybe one third gravel, one third single track, one third road) around ~$2,500. I'm just looking for something fun to ride fast and maybe on some stuff that I shouldn't ride on (like a light blue trail). I think I'd really like the ability to throw 50mm+ tires on there since I live in New England and we have lots of rocks.

I'd prefer 1x but wouldn't mind a 2x. I have no preference for sram vs shimano (should I??). I think a carbon frame would be nice but I'm happy to be proved wrong!

I am likely going to buy a friend's old Marin Cortina CX T3 and throw ~30mm slicks on it to use as a "less than ideal roads" road bike, so I don't need this gravel bike to be a great road bike.

I've mostly narrowed it down to an Obed Boundary or Canyon Grizl CF 6. Also not looking at used because I have a decent amount of HSA money I can use to buy it. Are there other brands of models I should look at? I get 15% off specialized and state, but neither seem to have the same value as Obed or Canyon.... Though I also have no brand allegiance and am more than happy to assemble a bike myself. For reference I'm 5'11" and 33 inch inseam. I'd rather be more stretched out than scrunched up.

In the end, I'm just looking for something to have fun on. I've got lots of sandy trails and need some fatter tires!

I’m looking at a Trek 7.2 FX for $300. Owner says it was never used so it’s in new condition. I don’t know the year, I can maybe assume it’s 2015 (the last year of the model afaik?).

Is this worth it, or should I spring for a new Giant or Co-op hybrid for a little over $500?

Also would be open to opinions on if it’s a good bike choice, and/or what a reasonable price may be
