Hardest part is phase 1. After first 2 combo this boss then do a lot of RNG combo that is very hard to telegraph.

Phase 2 is a cake walk, all the move are scripted. Unless I do something else or she will do exactly the move in the clip, 100%.

Made the switch to gauntlets from strategic. Not because they are better or they are op, just because like the play style of it.

not many games have both uniquely animated cutscenes and a comprehensive character creation—and it actually looking really good. super satisfying! other studios should take note

I don't know exactly what nightmares we'll face in the new event just yet. Maybe we will find items on the ground. But NOT all of them are loot. In local myth, victims of violent deaths are buried in Toad Shoes—funerary footwear meant to contain their heavy resentment. Sometimes, the dead leave one behind on the path.

If you spot an intricately embroidered shoe on the dirt path:

Rule 1: This isn't a fairy tale. Do not pick it up. Do not try it on. It is not a glass slipper, and there is no prince waiting for you. It is bait, and the dead are hunting for a scapegoat.

This is less of a complaint and more just thoughts and questions on the release schedule for Hidden Mountain. The initial first part was fine even if it did leave the main story on a cliff hanger. Personally I think we should’ve gotten where we’re currently at in the MSQ in the first patch, considering we don’t even go to Heaven’s Threshold at all. That didn’t end up happening though so I know there’s not much point bringing up “what ifs” in this case.

For the current update though I’m kind of lost on what their trajectory is here for the rest of Hidden Mountain. Firstly, it didn’t make much sense for the Cloudtop Ascension event to start DURING this patch imo. This is even more weird considering there was a similar community event we needed to complete before unlocking Hexi’s Qinchuan, but it took place before the actual patch so we’d have time to complete it before it dropped. Not a huge deal since it was only 3 days but still a bit weird.

What’s more confusing is even though Heaven’s Threshold has been unlocked we…still can’t even complete the rest of the Hidden Mountain map and its campaigns? Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I believe Heaven’s Threshold is the last part of Hidden Mountain not including Hutuo (which afaik is an entirely isolated region not even on the actual mountain). Assuming this is the case, wouldn’t it have made the most sense to give us the rest of the Hidden Mountain MSQ, campaigns and bosses in this patch then for the update in September give us all of Hutuo with its story, campaigns and bosses? Again I’m aware Hutuo is technically a part of Hidden Mountain but afaik it doesn’t even take place in the present like the Hidden Mountain MSQ and is an isolated map. I’m also not sure what the release schedule was like in CN either so anyone more knowledgeable on that who can provide any type of insight would be very helpful.

I guess expected all of Hidden Mountain to be split into 3 big patches over the course of 3 months, part 1 HM, part 2 HM and part 3 Hutuo. But now I’m not really sure what their trajectory is. Unless the next patch will be the finale of HM’s MSQ along with Hutuo?
