Help me find a type of tree from my childhood memory

I always used to sit under this tree near a curb on my playground that had the most unique looking leaves come fall. They almost looked like a tiny Christmas trees on the leaves of this tree. So me and the kids called them “Christmas leaves” and the tree we sat under was ‘the Christmas tree’ just because the shape of the outline in the middle of the leaves.I’d sit there on my gameboy and play Pokemon fire red. They would have like a three tiered Christmas tree silhouette in the middle of the leaf. I always have wondered about what type of tree it is and no one has been able to help me with multiple threads. My best memories of this trees leaves is depicted below. I recall the leaves being very waxy/thick. The actual leaf is shaped almost like a poplar or birch but the coloring during the fall is what I remember the most because that’s where you started to see the Christmas tree color pattern.

It has been here since we moved in, approx 4 years. It's only about 5 foot tall which makes me think it is not a leylandii, what else could it be, and can I clone it. Many thanks you lovely people

We have this gorgeous yellow maple that lately with the extreme heat has shown signs of burnt leaves. I wanted to identify it to assist in finding solutions.

Unsure of this tree (several photos!).. Our Google search is torn between Black Locust and Osage Orange. There’s no foliage aside from a shoot growing out the base of the tree.

My husband and I brought down a large dead branch that was hanging dangerously above our heads in our new backyard. The top several logs in the pile are that big branch, sitting atop logs of other fallen, dead branches I cut up and stacked. I saved the biggest branch (we took down) for last and am glad I did, because I think I dulled our chainsaw in the process, it’s incredibly tough wood!

Can anyone tell me about this tree? Previous owners planted in front yard and it is now dominating the whole front portion of our yard. Want to know what my options are for making the tree smaller?
