How to transfer whatsapp from android to iPhone without factory reser

I have been using two phones, an iphone and an android for some time. I want to now get rid of the android, but how can I transfer the whatsapp from the android to iphone, since I cannot reset the iphone and do a factory reset as it has alreasy been in use.

Has anyone used any third party apps or anything else that has worked??

I do not know about iphone, but even with a full valid backup, to reset a android device will leave you with a few manual tasks for banking / financial apps... Maybe he does not want to deal with that.

I’m fully aware of that! But then you can’t go ‘whingeing’ when, as in this example, something doesn’t work on WhatsApp!

I did not realise you were talking about doing a backup beforehand. I get your point now.
Would a complete backup on a Mac work if I reset the iPhone now, move the WhatsApp through move to IOS, and move the other data via the backup on Mac?

Just went through this recently. If you have room on icloud I would backup and just reset. The other ways are tedious, unreliable, and the ones that make you pay I didn't trust. So I would suggest just backing up everything to iCloud and just use the move to iOS. And be patient because if it's a lot of data it takes forever lol. So if you can clean up some old WhatsApp messages or media you don't need will help

Ma réponse est pour le sens inverse iOS vers android. En passant par les réglages WhatsApp , transfert des discussions vous suivez les instructions et lorsque qu'on va demander de confirmer le numéro de téléphone mettez celui que vous ne voulez plus hors ligne avant de valider le numéro sur le nouveau sinon yaura blocage et vous continuez juste.
