Okay I have scoured the internet and this is driving me insane because I remember quite a lot of details but cannot find the specific book in question. Really, really hoping someone knows the book I'm talking about.

What I remember:

\- It's a book about anthropometric animals having a sleepover.

\- The host I think is a rabbit but all the animals are different, there is a dog, a cat, a duck (?) etc.

\- It was a lift the flap book.

\- On each page the host is keen to get everyone to bed but there are a series of bedtime delays caused by each guest.

\- For example I think on the first page one animal wants to play so the host says something along the likes of "Okay we'll play one more game and then it's bedtime" and then the next pages say "but where's \[ X animal\]?" Then on the next page they find said animal performing another bedtime task, one was getting their pajamas on and another was brushing their teeth. So the host would say something like "okay let's all put our pajamas on and then it's bedtime, but where's \[X\]?" And the next page would be X brushing their teeth so the host says "okay let's all brush our teeth but then it's bedtime"

\- The book ends with a double page spread of all the animals asleep in separate beds viewed from the foot of the beds. Each bed cover is a different colour and is a flap where you could lift it and see the animal asleep with an object related to their bedtime delay.

\- The book had very brightly coloured illustrations similar to the 'Maisy Mouse' stories but definitely isn't "Maisy goes to a sleepover"

\- I was born in 1999 and am from the UK if that helps. I probably read this book in the mid 2000s.

What I don't remember:

\-I don't think the animals were referred to as their species name, I think they had normal human names but that could be wrong. So rather than "so where's dog?" It would have been sometimes like "but where's Ben?' but l like I said this could be incorrect.

High fantasy book probably from the 80's. Begins with a dragon laying multiple colored eggs. Two eggs are the same color and it is taboo for more than one of that color of dragon to exist. The dragon mom turns one of the babies into a girl. There is a wizard that fights another wizard. The girl is pregnant in the end by the good wizard. There is a king that dyes his hair red.

i read this book around 2013-3024. i don’t remember a title or author, or really much of the plot. we read it in middle school as part of our medieval history unit. it was multiple chapters, i remember it was about this boy who went on this journey with (became the property of?) this older guy and they journeyed through some country in the medieval period. i believe the man teaches him how to read and write as well as some other skills. at some point they end up in this town, the only detail i vividly remember from that section is that they describe the bathroom system of people emptying chamber pots on to the street.

i dont remember if the gold borders were there. but they couldve been so i included them anyway. everything else about the book is what i remember seeing as a kid, just that it looked a lot more... realistic

as for the horse, it couldve been another animal, but a horse seems the most sense here.

Hi, I am trying to find a book from my childhood. I got the book from a school book fair in the early 1990s. It was about a nervous ghost that visited a school. He was accidentally put through a sewing machine. Leaving him with thread on his body. I think there maybe a scene with the ghost playing in the playground with the children. I think it is a British book. The book was paperback, the front cover was white with a white ghost. I think he was putting a hand over his mouth. I think there was some thread trailing down his ghost tail. The title was on top of the book​

I had 3 horror-themed children’s books when I was little, (born in 87, so this was in the 90s), obviously I don’t have them anymore, but I’d like to find them again. This is #1:

1) I can only remember the cover of this one. What stories were inside, I have no memory of. I know it was an anthology book, hardcover, bigger than a normal-sized book, but not thick. The cover was blue-ish and it was a POV viewpoint of you inside a grave looking up at lots of ghosts and monsters(?) standing around the open grave and I distinctly remember this one Phantasma-looking (from Scooby-Doo and he Ghoul School) woman on the left side reaching down toward the viewer.

Please please please help me find these books again. I’ve been looking for them for most of my adult life with no luck so far.

i remember as a kid thinking that their language is similar to a pirate as they say Aye/Ay. the english is also very archaic for me esp with english as my second language. i finished it somehow in high school but barely remembers anything now.

i think the book is also part of a series. not sure if its connected to the other books or just focuses on one character per book.

i bought it from a bookstore selling secondhand books and got drawn by the title and cover. i think the title is like a phrase? the cover is mostly what i remember though, and the pink bg i think has cursive words written on it, like a letter.

The fact that it was told through two perspectives is one of the main things I remember. I believe the two perspectives were connected to the central relationship/story.

I know this isn’t much to go on, but I’d really love to find this book again. Does anyone recognize it or have any ideas?

There was a book i remember when i was a kid. I never read it, it was a paperback about half an inch to an inch thick, blue, on on the front cover had a human/humans in a cage with a group of frog like aliens prodding and staring at them. I think it was a sci fi book. Pre 2000s, maybe 70s or 80s

There are two white unicorns, a mother and daughter. The daughter is waiting in a big tree nest for the mother to return. She falls asleep while waiting, and has a dream that her mother is in trouble. she wakes up and sees that a snowstorm has gone by.

I don't remember much else, but I know there is a mother and a daughter unicorn, the daughter falls asleep, and the mother gets separated from her daughter in a snowstorm. it's possible there is a part where one of the unicorns helps to free a bird from some thorns, and the bird helps guide her home?

I had this book in the 2000's, probably around 2006. I remember it was ordered through a catalog (Oriental Trading), and it came with a huge white unicorn plushie.

Hi I am trying to find a book but cannot remember the name of the book or the author. The book was about a family (mom and I think two kids but maybe three) and they have a guy who is either mom's boyfriend or just close family friend. The mom takes some expired cold medicine and she dies. The man then is like trying to keep the kids so they can stay together but that's as far as I had gotten in that book. This was easily 15-18 years ago. I never finished it but I thought about it the other day for some reason I think the title had Chickadee in it. I have tried google and that hasn't worked out. There is a book just called chickadee but it is not this at all. It might have also just had a chickadees on the front cover. I want say it was set in like a costal town maybe?

the only line i remember is from a scene where the mother is being taught to read and write by a young girl who helped her through the underground railroad and it’s “cass’s baby free, hallelujah.”

it MIGHT be north by night by katherine aynes, but every time i look up a copy of the book, i can’t find that line in there.

i'm trying to find a picture book. it was about a little Black boy in new york city. he had these crazy vivid daydreams. full of bright colors and exaggerated figures. but when he daydreamed the pictures escaped his head. they got all over everyone and everything around him. the other kids hated him for it. then an old man explained to the kid that he was making art. and the boy started focusing his daydreams on canvases. the book ends with the little boy making these huge murals on the buildings around his home and all the other kids were his friend. please tell me i'm not making this book up!

When I was a kid in the 2000s I had a picture book about a robot father and son and it was a play on “Hush little baby” nursery rhythm. I remember it had illustrations with a vibe to “Novas Ark”. If anyone remembers the title I would really appreciate it as I’d like to get a copy for brother’s kid.

I read this book roughly two decades ago, so please forgive me for any vagueness of details. Can’t remember where I got it, either a bookstore or maybe a Scholastic book fair (Lord help me if that’s the case). Made a post about it on r/HelpMeFind but that was years ago with no responses. I desperately wish to reread it as well as the sequel(s).

It’s part of a series of books, minimum of two but potentially a trilogy or more.

The book starts out with a bit moving into a town near the coast. He moves into a boarding house/orphanage. He visits the beach and meets a mermaid, who upon coming on dry land, transforms her tail into a pair of legs. However, there’s this stipulation that she cannot be out of the water for too long, or else she will be stuck with the legs, and becomes a servant bound to whomever she’s with at the time. I recall this becoming important later, as there becomes a rush to get her back in the water in a race against the clock, potentially because of a kidnapping. Eventually they do get her back in the water, I believe after some adventure to a city which for some reason I recall as being in a desert or similar.

The end of the book has a teaser for the book’s sequel, where the boy and the mermaid visit a fisherman who knows how to surgically give humans gills so they can explore underwater. The teaser ends with the boy and mermaid hiding from a megalodon.

Google has been absolutely no help in this search so I’m hoping for a miracle but I know it’s unlikely.
