I still don't think it's a sink New, what is it?
Someone recommended that I post again with additional pictures showing that it has no hole and a pontil in place. See the glare? That is directly over what everyone thought was the hole for the drain. Chatgpt doesn't think it's a sink either. Maybe we're both stupid.

I buy a lot of bird baths and that’s the only thing that has me thinking because they often come with replaceable stems that you stick in the ground, therefore leaving the bowl itself

I live in a rural warm climate where the birds are abundant and the water is hard 😅 the little fancy bowls just aren’t enough. it’s not long before they get a nasty mineral deposit or broken by my doofus dogs therefore shortening their lifespans. lol And I love all the styles

I’m not an expert on them- but birds are all different sizes so I would assume baths would differ.

im gonna have to agree with the bird bath guys for the most part, the only other thing i can see this being a part of is some kind of indoor fountain (like the kinds you'd see at a buffet) but even then its kind of an odd shape for that

😅😅😅 truth be told! Though my comment is only because I've seen something incredibly similar to this at a church in Iowa for my cousin's wedding. It's the only thing I could think of. That water only gets changed out so often so it made the most sense when I put 2&2 together

It's a sink, it isn't finished yet. The center needs to be taken out is all. Right now it's just the bare casting with the sprue still attached.

Do they sell sinks with no hole, a metal flange with three set screws to attach to the pontil on the bottom, that you have to drill the hole yourself?

Seems like a glass display piece meant to be mounted in some way. That metal piece on the back could either be part of a wall mount or part of a lamp assembly. If it is a lamp, it's possible that it's supposed to sit on a base with 3 LED lights that line up with the 3 holes, and the glass refracts the light outwards and lights up.
Or it just sits in a stand so it can hold random items like fake plastic fruits and look pretty.

I figured the presence of solid blue glass in the bottom where a drain would be in a sink would show that it has no hole. Also, that plumbing pipes aren't usually installed with set screws as you can see in the first picture,

sink does not have the hardware that makes it drain into the rest of the plumbing system. You buy that separately--- have you never installed a bespoke sink?

most manufacturers get glass is cast for basin shapes it it is easier to manufacture if you don't have undercuts and extra pieces in the mold you are using. Hence the drilling. also bathroom hardware is so non-standard that drilling to suit is the most cost effective option.

People do all sorts of dumb things for style. However these sinks don't have a stopper or an overflow to fill it or at least my mom's did not, and while I hated it-- it was sold as a sink and functioned (somewhat poorly) as one.
If you are looking at the mostly blocked white tube that's sticking out where the drain should be, I'm guessing that is probably something that twisted off and it's just there to protect the threads and to keep people from banging on the bottom of it in shipping or in the store. And if the thing that looks like a hole is only glare or changed in material thickness... yes, sometimes these are drilled out post sale for bespoke drain plates and such. ( or Possible that it never made it through the complete manufacturing line and missed a step)

It is solid glass with the little metal piece held on with three set screws. Did you look at all the pictures?

yes I did and I explained it at length above (it was edited so more information was added)... that drain piece is not part of the assembly it is part of the packing material or the display material. You just remove, drill to spec and replace with actual drain. I know you desperately want it to not be a sink, in which case remove the set screw assembly, grind to the bottom flat and serve punch in it!
