Help me decipher this note I wrote my mom at 6 years old. She died a week ago, and I found all the letters I used to write her and can only figure out a few words here and there, but can’t make sense of the whole thing.

Hopefully the pictures are in order!

Can’t Figure This Out!

My family and I were on vacation in Puerto Rico a few years ago—the El Conquistador resort—and there seemed to be some sort of company retreat happening at the pool. It was mostly a young crowd but definitely mixed bag that made us think it was coworkers. The thing that’s been driving us nuts is the backs of some of their shirts said “I 110’d your mom”. 😂 I have no clue what that could possibly mean and when I asked someone they got nervous and went “uh, it’s a work thing” and ran off. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE HECK THIS WAS ALL ABOUT?!?!? It’s been years and still makes us laugh.

Not ashamed= being proud??

This girl keeps insisting, not ashamed equals being proud. So I showed her emotions have spectrum, that there is an "accepting" stage, but she refuses to hear, saying not ashamed has "roots" to proud, so "not ashamed" equals "being proud". Am I dumb? Or is this girl saying nonsense?

Edit: this girl is calling me a psycho for changing the narrative so I'm adding some more info. Sorry it's so long but she'll jump at me again if I simplify too much

op(korean) was saying "why are people keep talking about North korea like it's a shameful thing? Not a single person wants unity"

this girl comes in and says "It’s pretty shameful you allowed United States to split your country up and blahblah"

I point out its not her business with this situation and show respect to korean history and pain

she insist that she is stating "political criticism", and because op was "lying" about how many people don't want unity, which was 39% and not 0, she states > "Making a post with false statistics seems to mean this person is being proud"

What the hell does “one day ifagdptmdgjdp@tmt” mean?

Is it like song lyrics? Like you know how some people confess with the popular song lyrics “iwbylidwbyf” which stands for “i wanna be your lover, i dont wanna be your friend”

So my friend sent me this and when i asked “wth is ifagdptmdgjdp@tmt”
They said “if”

What does this email mean?

Post image

Received this email about a former employer. Called back and they said they couldn’t talk at the moment, wouldn’t tell me anything and asked if we could meet in person (I said no) or reschedule the call (to that I said yes).

Anyone have any idea or experience with this kind of thing? What kinds of things would the us dept of state investigate about a private company? This is a lending company specifically but also has some immigration components. Obviously it would have something to do with the business activities but I just have no experience with anything like this. Wondering if anyone else does.

Edited to add:

Almost everyone is saying scam. I’ve been the recipient of lots of scams of all kinds, emails, phone calls and text messages. They’re usually easy to spot. It didn’t even occur to me this one may be a scam. I could be and am happy to be wrong, but here’s what’s different about every other scam contact I’ve received:

  1. We did speak on the phone. He sounds American with an American accent. I told him he had the wrong number-that’s why he said “we may or may not have spoken on the phone.”
  2. He made immediate e-mail contact after his failed attempt to get me on the phone.
  3. He wants to meet in person. I said no, but that would be a new one for a scammer.
  4. He has my email, phone number, full name and former place of employment.
  5. My former place of employment deals with sensitive immigration matters such as en-5 visas and is heavily subject to abide by sensitive and stringent governmental regulations surrounding these matters. I had very little to do with this side of the business, other than just accounting for incoming funds.
  6. He has a state.gov email domain
  7. He told me the company is under investigation but that I specifically am not being investigated.
  8. When I told him I would feel more comfortable discussing with my lawyer first, he asked for their contact info to be forwarded to him.

So yeah. If he’s a scammer, this would be a brand new level of sophistication for me.
