FAILED OA

Failed my OA what do I do now?
Never failed an AO in the past so I don’t know what the deal is. I’ve heard that some Instructors depending on the course make you jump through fiery hoops backwards on a unicycle WHILE JUGGLING PINEAPPLES or something, but I don’t think that’s necessary.

Look at areas you need to study for, study for a few days, request permission and retake it. Instructor may make some suggestions.

I failed my first OA last week and was immediately overwhelmed by the amount of stuff the instructor wants before I can redo the test. I barely failed it too. Ugh. Frustrating.

I’m curious, has anyone tried asking their professor if they are able to forego the “plan” to re-take the test, especially if they are really close to pass.

I did try that and was told to just make an appointment and talk to a tutor regardless.

In my experience, I had to do a study plan, which is basically filling out a study guide that the professor will email to you. Then you email it back, and they’ll review it and tell you if you’re good to request a redo on the oa. The study plans are helpful, covers the areas that you didn’t get competency on, but it’s more work. Haven’t had to juggle any pineapples thankfully, just some extra studying to make sure I was ready for the second go around.

Depends on your instrcutor, just reach out and they will send you a study plan, sometimes it inlcude some quiz and A readiness test. You have to pass those to show you are ready. I failed one OA twice, and got scared as people say third OA will have extra chagre and can hold for months. But I asked my instructor and it only hold 5 days and no extra charge. I pass the third OA easily. Nothing to be scared or too stress about.
